Report  November 29th 2006 Scottish Borders:

We made our way to a largely unrecognised and approximately 550 year old typical Reiver tower site East of Hawick, largely forgotten by history. We knew it had a general historic background of family feuding, crime and a blood letting that was actually quite common during the dark lawless period of our Border history.

After an imprompt visit, four group members under dark, using flashlight, tried to locate the site unsuccessfully, so our group leader chose to do a more sensible daylight recognisance later that week. Interestingly, in daylight, he felt he was being watched.

 After an understandable experience such as this, an enthusiastic impulse was triggered, where under darkness, a vigil was called urgently.

 Three group investigators visited the site with flashlights, night vision cameras and sensors. During the two-hour vigil a most amazing and colourful orb was photographed by our group leader, and most clearly to say the least. We did not panic, but bravely continued our investigation. We felt very much that we were visiting a site that had no history of modern vigils. We felt the site was ready to reveal much of its history to us. One of our younger group members felt that there had been an ancient road heading due North/North East, with many military horsemen using said route. He was absolutely right in his feelings, for an uncharted Reiver Military road did exist exactly where he felt it had. I can vouch for this, having been the only member of the group to have seen the outline of said road some fifteen years earlier, from the air. Ancients tracks as we all know are often photographed during the summer months of drought, revealing a most interesting archaeological ground history. We will be returning to our  location soon.

Report January 10th 2007 Scotish Borders : Part 2

We made our way back to the 12th century tower after finding out about our first orb picture taken there the first time round, we had to go back we were told it was a friendly orb that wanted to change into a full manifest.

The team consists of myself Brian and Adrian because it was short notice we decided to go ourselves and try and get results.

When we arrived to the tower it was a bit windy and cold, when we reached the side of the tower where the open door way was a tree had blown down on it making it a bit harder to get in but we got there we decided to go back to the same spot where we first spotted the orb we stayed there for about 10 -15 minutes in complete silence, then I said to adrian call out and see what happens so adrian called out and we waited, nothing happened so I took pictures and adrian videoed a bit we then decided to move up the tower a bit the strangest thing happened when I was standing there I said to adrian I feel as if someone is prodding my back with a stick, then we heard noises we called out again and heard more noises my EMF metre went off a few times but noting to high.

We decided to walk around the tower to see if we can hear anything, nothing happened adrian felt a presents being there a woman in a white dress and black hair with blue eyes this is his second feeling of this woman,we then thought after about an hour we decided that there was nothing happening and went home

conclusion: no evidence this time round or any orbs, just my feeling that someone was prodding my back with a stick,

Report 31st January 2007 : Benrig Cemetery

When we first arrived it was a full moon and weather was dry

we made our way down the long straight road that runs from the cemetery to the bottom of the road, where we were told years ago they carried the body`s to and from there.

I didn't pick up anything on my EMF metre so I took some pictures but nothing abnormal on them, Adrian was videoing the event when his camera went off and never came back on not sure if its down to anything or just didn't work at all.

So we made our way back up to the graveyard by this time it was getting a bit cold and with the full moon lightning up the graveyard it was a bit spooky for us,

we went through the gate to the bottom I didn't pick up anything and my EMF metre was ok,stayed in there for awhile just standing,after that we decided to go along this path beside the graveyard Adrian smelled there as like way back in the olden days I did smell it to so then we carried on to the bottom of the path that lead to the waterside again nothing happening on the path,I thought I saw a figure walking past the path but when we got to the bit there was no one there and know where for them to go just a brick wall..................

Conclusion: no evidence of any orbs or paranormal happenings this time round. Will go back with full team next time
