Spirit of Neon

Neon, on IAG2. Its more than just a name.

Welcome to the Spirit of Neon!

These pages are dedicated to the managers and their teams that ply their trade in NEON world of IAG2. Over the coming months we will be looking to build a picture of the teams (however successful) and managers that make up the best league in Its a Goal 2 (IAG2).

We will aim to show not only the highs but the lows, the trials and tribulations of the every day struggle in their attempts to get to the top or to win that cup.

Suggestions, ideas, comments, transfer gossip or items for inclusion for these pages can be made by PM to (Thor) manager of Spirit of StLouis - Championship or (eMJay) manager of Fighting Mongoose - Premiership

About Us

Neon is one of the 22 current leagues located on IAG2, a fantastic football manager simulation, that is as challenging as it is addictive.  Succeed on IAG2 and you will know you have put the hours in and earn't the reward.

Neon was created 17th of the IAG Leagues and as steadily climbed upwards until it is now well inside the top 10, the highest position ever attained was 6th in June 2008 and its only looking like the League will be going even higher up the rankings.

This success is hard to pin down, but can be attributed to, in part, the loyal and dedicated managers who began in late 2006 and have spent the intervening period gaining promotion upon promotion to the Premiership.  Unlike some worlds there is no one really dominant team who can sweep all before them. Half a dozen clubs in the higher reaches (top 50) of the IAG rankings is a side affect of this dedication and longevity. This all helps provide healthy competition and drive a very active transfer market (if a tad expensive at times! ).  It is not the sole reason for the leagues success though, that is also thanks to the many excellent managers beginning their IAG careers in 2007 and early 2008.  Many managers have been known to leave Neon to improve their rankings in other leagues, only to return when the right time/club arises.. This constant influx of determined managers can only be good news for the future.

In addition the local Neon forum is arguably the most active on the whole of IAG, Bookmakers (for spending  ), a Tavern (for drinking  , waffling  & ranting ) and general good natured banter ensure a lively atmosphere.
