Spirit RhythmsLife as in nature is a rhythmic circle . The tides ebb and flow, the day becomes night, the seasons revolve through their journey year after year.. Throughout the ages, all cultures have brought the art of rhythm into their lives and most have used some form a drum to accomplish that. Perhaps no other people have attached a greater significance to the spirit of the drum than the Indian tribes of North America. Drums became the foacl point of expression before battle or in celebration of victory to bring a sense of strength, community and harmony to their people.

Your Remo drums, Elder are just that. It is made to be played in during any type of weather.... highly recommended for shamanic work. It is a durable instrument. A bag of some type would be suggested to help keep her/him always clean and in good repair for playing. If the All One Tribe drums were not so expensive to make they would still be in businness....and easy to purchase. I have not found them on the web for a while. However, I pray Finney is o.k.
She allowed me to purchase my special Hide Drum at a lower price about six years ago now, because of my school assembly programs. I perform for all levels, university and private occasion as well..... (called "Drums Around The World"). I always wanted to share the power of drumming with everyone about the universal power in its' spirit.
The 2" different sizes ( 14" & 16") made of hide, are not build like the Native American hides on the web site..... yours are very sturdy and can handle a big sounds.
Some feel the hide drums are better and speak to them of nature and Gods' calling to them. Because the hide drums (In sacred terms) are still alive. The white drums are also alive, but to some they don't speak the same witness. Ultimately everyone that developes a sense of understanding will sometime in their experience; purchase and drum for fun, work and play and a drum for prayer. One should purchase a drum that is calling to them after making some investigation and research. It would be best and great to attend a conference and witness the action around the drum vendor ( I love the work).
Because people of all ages above 21 (sometime teenagers) are attending for spiritual purposes and although looking at price....need a drum like these that speak to the soul. These drums are better built, durable, painted by Native Americans and some of the cost goes to the people for survival etc... on the back of each of these drums is a pattened handle created by Finney .... she and her factory is how of Taos Mexico."
