SPI Location Log
Bolling Hall
Bradford
28.10.06Heritage Building, housing many local items of historical interest
SPI attended this location as guests to Haunted World. Haunted World had 9 team members sporting their trademark HW T-Shirts, distinguishing themselves from the SPI team that arrived 12 members strong.
With so many people, HW took one side of the building and SPI made their way to the other side so to avoid noise interference from each other.
SPI equally split their 12 members into 2 groups.
SPI stepped into vigils and despite going through, ritual Glass Divinations and Séances, all was quiet in this old building, once visited by Most Haunted. Although, as the morning light grew nearer, so did the spirits of Bolling Hall.
Digital Stills didn‘t disappoint some members with some impressive Light Anomalies captured.
Picture One Picture Two
These pictures where taken in one of the upper bedrooms. Picture Two was taken immediately after Picture One. The stance and position of the team member indicates the time difference between pictures is minimum. This method in photographing the paranormal is well suggested, for comparisment, and if the same light anomaly appears in the same place it would appear that maybe the lens is at fault. In this instance the lens isn’t the case of the light anomalies.
As the night was drawing near a close, members from all the different groups were beginning to sense strange sensations about certain rooms. The “War Room” in particular. It was sensed by various members, who do not practice mediumship or claim to be sensitive, that ‘something’ just didn’t feel right.
SPI members decided that one last vigil in this room was worth a try and the three investigators weren’t disappointed. Almost immediately the Glass begun to respond to questions asked.
A male spirit, connected to the building and died in the building. It was asked if his name was Francis Beldon, a former owner of Bolling Hall, who, according to a label attached to a picture claiming to be of a Francis Beldon, murdered his wife and child. The glass moved to, ”Yes”.
When asked if he murdered his wife. The glass indicated yes again. When asked if he murdered his child, the glass moved slowly in circles and then went to “no”. Do you deny murdering your child? The glass moved to Yes.
Asked if he was ashamed and regretted what he had done, the glass went to Yes. Was he trapped here in this building? The Glass indicated Yes.
Many more question where asked and responded to, but the only significant factor was that the members reported feelings of nothing but disgust, maybe for this spirit, claiming to be Francis Beldon.
Could this had been genuine communication with a spirit or had the information we read before starting this vigil, influenced our subconscious, which in return somehow, ’we’ moved the glass without our knowing. Answering accurately to information we knew the answer too.
This is another location made famous by Most Haunted.
Bodelwyddan Castle
North Wales
08.07.06
The Castle was home to the Williams family for about two hundred years and from 1920 - 1982 it housed Lowther College, a private girls school. It was refurbished as an historic house in the 1980s.
Parts of the house date from the fifteenth century when the building was a simple manor house, although there was probably a dwelling of some sort on the site long before this. There have been many ghostly happenings reported over the past few years. They include:
A lady in the Sculpture Gallery
A soldier in one of the galleries (Bodelwyddan Castle was used as an officers mess and a recuperation centre during the First World War)
Shadowy figures drifting down the corridors
A blue lady in the Terrace Tea Room
Unexplained noises and lights
Bodelwyddan Castle has also been used as a location for an episode of Most Haunted, on Living TV.
Chingles Hall
(Private Private Investigation)
Preston
17.02.06
This Lancashire House has a huge reputation for being very active, but the owners reluctance to allow paranormal groups to carry out investigations, meant SPI’s visit was evermore so special. Full apparitions have been witnessed by the owners, but also non paranormal investigator guests too have spoke to persons visable to them, only later to enquire who the person was, to find that there was no such person present within the house at the time.
Our visit to this location was on a cold, wet, winters night., but the welcome from the nights guide was warm. We started the night with a history run through, from the guide and a look through some unpublished pictures taken by visitors to the house. Unlike many locations this place restrained the temptation to enter into the world of cyber advertising.
We can only say that we spent the night at Chingles Hall, What happened within the walls will remain within the walls. If the opportunity ever araises that you are able to spend the night at Chingles Hall, take it. it’s a location well worth a visit.
Wycoller Hall
Burnley
Two visits in 2005&
Two visits in 2006
Manor House, ruin.
SPI have had the privilege of carrying out many investigations at this locations. Despite the location being in the open outdoors, as the ruins offer no overhead protection from the night elements, the results have been surprisingly good. After we distinguished between the natural rural sounds and sounds that didn’t belong there at that time, we begun to experience the paranormal activities that Wycoller Hall had to offer. When the SPI begun visiting Wycoller Hall, we immediately captured various types of light anomalies. Depending on the seasons weather conditions we had to be critical of our findings. Being outdoors, various explanations could cause odd light anomalies on camera. Rain and moisture in the autumn and winter season, insects and pollen in the spring and summer seasons. The many bats in the area also offered themselves and proved very photogenic at times.
With the above said, it leaves some doubt over the credibility of Orb pictures at this location, so why did we return to this location time and time again.
The answer is that, Wycoller Hall, despite being outdoors, offers so much more than just orb pictures. Mist has been caught on still camera also, again, outdoor elements can cloud any genuine chance of dismissing natural causes. We have record various Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP). Including a dog, which adds weight to claims of a spirit of a black dog roaming the ruins, the village and the wooded area.
Trigger objects moved from their drawn outline. The sound of a fire crackling can be heard while standing in the grand fireplace in the Main Hall. Footsteps tread the Main Hall area that once hosted grand social events.
The more we visited Wycoller Hall, the spirits that walk here became more trusting in us, possibly the reason why communication with spirit improved. On one visit, whilst carrying out Glass Divination, the circles high spirited mood, pardon the pun, was cut short. The laughter that was drifting into the night air was suddenly replaced by uncontrollable sobbing from one member.
At first the person had no idea why she was crying. Then, as it continued and her body language changed as she felt the need to close her vision from what she described in the moment as “Ugly,” “Horrible.” She was describing the way she was ’feeling’ and not what she was seeing. The figure was faceless, but the member was sensing the spirits feelings. An overwhelming depression, sadness and loneliness. We had to end the circle immediately as the uncontrollable crying failed to ease. Shortly after the closure the member was restored back to her usual self. The growing interest in SPI and our visits to this location, brought SPI into contact with a local medium/sensitive and another medium from the Wigan area. The combine energy they brought to the energy already generated by SPI members, produce communication with other spirits, such as two monks, who have joined us in both our last two visits.
The SPI continue to visit this location and already plans are in place for our return in 2007. SPI investigations to this location are open to applications from members only. To become a member of SPI, click on the link to our MSNGroup, found on the Homepage.
