2009 SPEEDWAY & GRASSTRACK SHOW

It is with great regret that we have to announce the cancellation of the 2009 Speedway & Grasstrack Show.  After several signs of interest we have been unable to attract a Title Sponsor for the Show, though we would like to thank those who did show interest for their enquiries and hope it is something which they may still consider in the future.

Both myself and my brother who were planning and delivering the show, work full time and we were desperate to gauge the interest for another event before we jumped whole heartedly into it.  We are also involved with Birmingham Speedway, SGP and Coventry Stox in relation to presentation alongside a Pro Cabaret Show which is out on the road most weekends so have a very busy schedule. 

We very much wanted the Show to be seen as the showpiece that kicks each speedway season off, but with the current business climate, this has meant that only 15 stands have confirmed an interest for the show compared to the 60+ who were interested and exhibited last year.  At one stage we had considered booking 2 halls over 2 days as we thought last years show had been such a success.

Apologies to the stands who had already confirmed, we wish some of your fellow traders were as open minded as to the benefits of showcasing their products/facilities to the speedway world.

We tried as we always do to enhance the sport that we we love but unfortunately on this occasion it hasn't gone the way we would have liked it to.

So again it is with deep regret that we are pulling the plug on the 2009 show, but with a view to the future we would not dismiss looking at it again.  It’s a real shame as after an absence of a show for many years, last years was seen as a great success and was thoroughly enjoyable to be part of, but hey thats Speedway.
