Just what the internet needs! It's yet another site dedicated to solving the Rubik's Cube®.

What makes this site different (and for that reason, better) than all the other cube solution sites is this: simplicity. You don't need to have any experience with the cube. And, since I'm not the flashiest site maker, you don't need Flash or Java or any other sort of movie viewing application. You also don't need to understand cube notation (but it can make things easier). However, you may want to become familiar with some of the terminology used. Other than that, all you really need is a functioning 3x3 Rubik's Cube® and a lot of spare time. Also, use Internet Explorer if possible, as some sections may be formatted oddly if you use a different browser.
One quick note: The cube I use has the colors arranged like this: Blue opposite green, red opposite orange, white opposite yellow. Some cubes have the green and white sides switched. Don't try to peel off the stickers to switch them, as this will damage them. Just keep in mind that when I say "green", it may mean "white" on yours. Also, if you have the 25th anniversary cube, mirrored is the same as white. Let's get started, shall we?
Here we have the basic solution: everything you need to know to solve your cube. When learning the material, you can always reference these pages. However, you'll want to memorize everything here so you can solve it on your own. Trust me, that's not as hard as it sounds.
Basic Solution:
Step 1: The First Layer Cross
Step 2: The First Layer Corners
Step 3: The Second Layer Edges
Step 4: The Third Layer Edges (Orientation)
Step 5: The Third Layer Corners (Permutation)
Step 6: The Third Layer Corners (Orientation)
Step 7: The Third Layer Edges (Permutation)
Once you've mastered the basic solution, it's time to throw in some tricks. These are techniques that aren't just raw memorization, they're looking ahead and finding quicker solutions.
Advanced Strategies:
Combining Steps 2 and 3
Second Layer Edge Switchers
Combining Steps 5 and 6

Most recent site update: Added updates section. That's this right here. 02-02-07
