Hello and a warm welcome to my Second Life® website!
I'm Sparkle Champagne and I was 'born' (created) on March 24th 2008. Like many new citizens of Second Life, I found the whole process of signing up and negotiating my way around Orientation Island and then Help Island very confusing and more than a little frustrating. Then I realised that I wasn't alone and there were a lot of people trying (and failing) to learn how to use Second Life®
So I decided to make an effort to help them by creating this simple website incorporating screenshots so people could see Orientation Island and Help Island before they signed up. Hopefully this will mean they have a better idea about how to pass through unscathed. Think of it like learning a video game for the first time - finding out how the controls and menus work, where to go, what to collect ... it's not too difficult once you know how. (Please remember that this is my personal web site about Second Life® and all opinions expressed within are mine alone)
Below you will see six navigation buttons - Home will bring you back to this page, First Steps will take you to a page abut how to download a Viewer program and the log in screens, Orientation is about Orientation Island, Help Island is fairly obvious (but also includes a subsection showing a selection of the Tutorials offered on Help Island), Useful Links is a collection of ... well ... useful Second Life® links and the Site Map is to help you if you get lost! On this page the navigation buttons are at the bottom, but on the other pages of this website you'll find them across the top for easy access.
