28/11/07 - It's been a while since this site was had some attention but now I'm back and I promise to keep you updated with all the gossip and news about The Retro Spankees. I haven't spoke to Ash in a while since he was arrested for smuggling ducks into Belgium so I'm gonna have to update things using just my own tiny brain.
The Retros are gigging again, writing songs, planning to release more music soon. I'll let you know what I know when I know what I know about those retros! x
27/04/07 - No news is good news? ...I'm not so sure. I'd like to report massive things that are taking place but I think The Retro Spankees are taking a well earned rest after their tour early this year. That doesn't mean to say they are sitting in front of the tele with their feet up watching LK Today.. no way Jose! Their has been plenty of practicing, writing, practicing and preparations for more Retro action. I may have missed a couple of smaller gigs along the way but expect to see them at Festivals around the UK this summer.
23/01/07 - The UK Tour is about to begin starting @ the Fish, Northampton, then on to Norwich and Nottingham and Cardiff. Then some Chicken. Then to Brighton and London and Derby and London again. Then some more Chicken and a creme egg each. Then Bradford and St Albans and London again again and finally Manchester. Check out the 'Live' Page for venues, dates and times.
19/12/06 - TOUR NEWS! The Retro Spankees are to tour many venues around the UK on consecutive nights beginning in late January. Their last gig (Brimingham) went down extremely well, with The Spankees pulling a large crownds of Retromaniacs clutching their copies of the Album and waving their panties. The Retros do not have any more gigs planned until the January/February tour as yet and are looking forward to a nice Christmas break. Seasons Greetings, Merry Crimbo and happy Winter to all! 1/11/06 - The terror of bruges won the poll triumphantly, 5-0. When we are able, we will put it as the hompage song for you all to enjoy. Ash has taken some photos of the spankees playing at the labour club last friday. He used a good old disposable camera, so whether they came out well or not we do not know yet. If they come out well, they will be on the site faster than you can say *spankees*.

01/09/06 - Things have been a little slow round here lately. I have had my time taken up by many non-retro and stressful things and Ash has been working hard trying to find a spell to combat the imminent attack of ghosts and zetan warlords. Winston Echo has been throwing paint at my house, shouting at my neighbours and writing on the pavement in big chalky letters "Where's my fanclub sonny Jim?". Today I gave in and dedicated a page to him. All I need is to fill it with fun and clever stuff, any ideas? Send ideas to the usual address!

07/07/06 - The myspace page its attracting fans like a hot day on the Shanghai Subway. In a desperate attempt to encourage our new friends onto this site we have set up the FANLIST page, where you can quickly find out who else supports the spankees, approved our friendship without knowing who we are, or just jumped on the band wagon. We hope that you will interact as much as possible, giving advice, ideas, complaints, or just a simple 'hello' on the forum. Good times!
02/07/06 - Friday night at the soundhaus was brilliant! well done to the young detectives for getting the night going with some awesome guitar riffs and screams! We also got to see each other in person, finally! Charlie gave me the clock from the countdown bit.Ending with a cover of fat lip by sum 41 to get the crowd jumping around and dancing. Well done spankees for a brlliant night that will be remembered. Ash x
31/05/06 - The Retro Spankees release their new single 'Vowel Play' on 26th June 2006!!!!!
Its again through Kooky and is in the form of a double A Side and 2 new B sides.
Vowel Play is the long awaited tribute to Richard Whiteley and is accompanied by the album track 'Out Like One' and the two new songs; 'Get It Along Gum' and fans favourite 'Charlies In His Garden'.
The spankees are holding a special Single Launch Party to celebrate its release at The Soundhaus on June 30th.. LEGEND IS A SIX LETTER WORD!!!

16/05/06 -  Our site features on the official spankees news!
The new updated news features a comment on our fansite, with also comments on it being their first ever fansite and some lovely remarks about Ash. Im sure they are thinking about Rich to!
15/05/06 - "Beltin in Bolton!" - Early reports from The Retro Spankees gig in Bolton at the weekend look like the band went down a treat. One happy fan called Neil posted on the official forum... "Last night were beltin, seriously! I loved it."
10/05/06 - Rob has returned from a lovely trip to Italy. Looks as if The Retro Spankees have confirmed gigs in both Bolton and Derby as hoped (see 'live' for details). The new single is coming along nicely, the official website annouced the completion of 'two shiny new recordings' earlier today.
27/04/06 - rob is about to go on a trip to italy so the retro spankees have decided on some non-rob events
On sunday 30th april they will be playing an acoustic gig at "the end" in northampton
The following weekend the spankees will be heading off to the studio to record B-sides for their new single VOWEL PLAY/OUT LIKE ONE
27/04/06 - The Retro Spankees fanclub is born.
