When the various parts have been put into place, the efficiency of the mechanism will be considerably improved. But no one really expects a 100% performance increase because that is just beyond the tolerances of the specifications. At best we'll see maybe 25% to 30% imcreases and that should be good enough.

The engineering review indicates that no one really looks at the limits without first taking note of the guidelines. The procedure thus reduces the amount of time spent analyzing modifications because all work is done within established tolerances. But when a new module is brought online there are usually a few glitches due to expected human error.

The effect has been recorded several times with the most sensitive instruments available in the laboratory. But the equipment specifications don't permit a sampling smaller than the closest measurement for the pre-programmed tolerances. Hence, the engineers have to extrapolate what the exact size should be from the residual traces material found on the linings of the test cages. This is extremely tedious work although the computers are performing admirably thanks to Dr. Daniels' new software. There may be additional enhancements in the coming months as adjustments are made to the algorithm to compensate for random factors. All in all, the engineering review is overwhelmingly positive and the project has stayed on track and under budget thanks to innovative ways of achieving our goals.
