We played in the sand all afternoon before our moms called us to leave. I'll never forget that day or that little boy. He was so good at building sand castles. Even now, years later, I still cannot build sand castles like the magical fairy castle he built for me.

I think that whole summer was magical because I have so many precious memories from that time. If I could really stop time and look back at any period of my life, I think that would be my favorite. 		 

All the Humphrey Bogart movies in my collection are my favorite ones, except for "Casablanca". I love that movie, but every time I buy the DvD one of my friends borrows it and I never see it again. I think I have 3 DvDs on permanent loan. Maybe I need some new friends.

I started to collect some Cary Grant movies but it is so hard to find them that I finally gave up. I decided to round out my Clint Eastwood and James Bond flicks first, and then maybe I'll move on to John Wayne movies. The Duke was a great actor and I'm only sorry he didn't get more academy awards than they finally gave him.

All the tulips were blooming by the time we got back from Pittsburg. It had been a long trip and we were both exhausted. But mom and pop were okay and they had about 25 new DvDs to help them get through the long convalescence. We called them every day and pop was so glad to be able to watch his favorite movies. It was a real expense but so worthwhile.

We had to sell the dogs, though. It was just too expensive to take care of them and we knew we would never be able to enter them in any shows. I think we found them a good home. The family had kids and the dogs were so good with our children. The girls cried for a week after the dogs left. I still feel bad.

And Dave Pasternack sat down in a chair and knew that he was resting. And Dave Pasternack ate good food until he was full. And that was just another day in the life of Dave Pasternack.
