Steve (d.o.b 25/03/60) is an extremely talented musician who started off playing the guitar, but quickly progressed to the saxophone and an assortment of percussion instruments. He is also credited with writing the only song recorded by Spandau Ballet which was not written by Gary; Motivator which is on the Heart Like a Sky album. After leaving Spandau Ballet he toured briefly with Tony and John as part of HNK. He now spends much of his time in Ibiza but did return to these shores in September 2003 to play a concert in Battersea Park with his girlfriend and ex-Bucks Fizz member Shelley Preston under the name Cloudfish. For a review of this gig see http://www.freewebs.com/spandau_ballet/cloudfishgigreview.htm
Steve seems to be very elusive and there have been no confirmed reports on any projects he may be involved in for several months, although he did recently appear at the NME awards with Martin. Photos of the two of them are available on Getty Images.
