Welcome to the Southwest Skye Pipes & Drums website. We are one of the most recent bagpipe bands to be established in Arizona, beginning in the summer of 2007. The Band is based in Williams, Arizona, the "Gateway to the Grand Canyon", amongst tall, cool ponderosa pine trees and beneath the deep blue skies.
Southwest Skye is a young pipe band, with about eleven bagpipers and five drummers. We currently have students which are still in the beginning stages of learning the bagpipes and drums, and are more than happy to accommodate more drummers and pipers into our group. We have been fortunate to have a very dedicated group of individuals in our band, with members coming from Williams, Flagstaff, Sedona, Camp Verde, Prescott, Chino Valley, and Ash Fork.
We are a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 certified organization. The sole purpose of the Southwest Skye Pipes & Drums is to further interest in the art of the Scottish Bagpipe and Drum and share our common interest in this culture and instrument by performing for the public in such events as parades and Celtic Festivals, as well as offering individual pipers and/or drummers for private ceremonies such as weddings.
