South West Sight Hounds

We now have the field we've been promising our hounds literally up and running.

As expected it's proving invaluable - the hounds are absolutely thrilled to have as much free running exercise as they want and we have peace of mind knowing it's a safe area for them.

Our intention all along was to make the field available to other owners so their dogs could benefit too. It's an ideal location to work on offlead training in a large area or simply let your hound burn off his/her excess energy should they live in an environment where the majority of their excercise needs to be taken on lead.

We haven't been able to keep the grass as short as we intended, as you can see from the two photos above, but the hounds have lots of fun 'play hunting' and around the edges are shorter for running.

We do ask users if they would be kind enough to make a donation for use of the field which will be a contribution towards the upkeep of dogs in our care. Please note that it doesn't have to be a monetary donation - have a look at our 'Wish List' for other ways to help us.
