This is an example of shoeing I recently did on a severely foundered horse. Her former farrier couldn't fix it. This poor horse could barely stand, and would just shift her weight from foot to foot trying to ease the pain. I shaped a shoe to fit her foot and affixed it backward, thus relieving the pinching and pressure in her foot. Her owner called a week or two later to tell me that she saw her horse trotting around the pasture!
