It all started in 1992 in Bad Kreuznach Germany. Ric Alaniz was in a motorcycle club called M.C. Crane. While being a member (holding no title position) it gave him the opportunity to travel Germany and party with other motorcycle clubs, such as M.C. Bones(Frankfurt), M.C. Montroesore(Bosenheim), M.C. Cavemen (Mannheim), and M.C. Bikers.(Stuttgart). M.C. Bones is considered the biggest club in Germany. M.C. Bones just changed their name to Hell´s Angels, so the process is on the way. Under certain circumstances, a biker Bro named Fritz Klein and Ric left M.C. Crane and became bike loners. After a while, Fritz designed a club patch and gave Ric one. They rode to different rallies wearing this patch on their backs for a good long while. It was was not until Ric left Germany to go back to the U.S.A.(Texas) that Fritz handed him the patchwork designs, and told Ric to start a club in Texas.
When Ric left Germany (sorry to say) he sold his Softail to a guy out of Frankfurt. Watching bikers riding along the country roads started his blood pumping once again, telling him who he really was, and what he was meant to be. It was not until 2004 when Ric purchased his new Softail that he started a riding club (not motorcycle club). They were only 5 members then, which was enough to start the quorum for a motorcycle club. Well biker bros started getting interested in joining the club since they did some riding together along the backroads north of McCook, which is called our 4 county posse run. Remembering what Ric's biker bro(Fritz) had said, "Start your Club" he made a commitment to himself to get things started . Once he established about 10 members in the club is when he decided to change from riding club to motorcycle club. Now it was time to give the club a name. Due to the fact that we have Military Veterans, Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters and etc, it gave Ric the idea to name the club "Southern Posse" . The reason being is this: Way back during the gunslinger days in the wild wild west, after the bank was robbed, the sheriff would gather up the Posse to give chase; which was made up of towns people who held different job positions, etc. to go after the low down varmints who did them wrong, and since we are located in Southern Texas, well the rest is history. We have recently expanded to the West Texas area (Odessa). We are a non-profit organization. We are in no hurry to build this club in any way, nor to threaten any other club organizations. We just like to ride with the wind to our face and the sun to our backs. We also like to spend time with other bikers who feel the same about having good clean fun. We always have room for improvements to make our club better.

Welcome to the official website of the Odessa, Texas chapter of the Southern Posse MC. The Odessa, Texas chapter was formed in November 2007 through permission and protocol of the mother chapter that is based in Mission, Texas. The Southern Posse MC is sanctioned under the American Motorcyclists Association and all club members are individual members of the AMA. The Southern Posse MC claims no territory as solely their own and has no hidden agendas. We are no threat to any other clubs and/or organizations. We are a family oriented MC and take pride in that fact. We are all equal beings in this MC, therefore it doesn't matter what make, and or model of motorcycle that you ride. It's all about riding motorcycles, having good clean fun, and hanging out with the fellow bikers. Take time to browse around the site and feel free to contact us for more info on club requirements. Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up.....JJ
