Here at Southern Illinois Bettas, we are committed to providing the best locally bred bettas at a reasonable price. We start with heathy young fish in their breeding prime, feed high quality live and prepared foods, and provide the proper water qualities and tempertures to stimulate healthy breeding activity. The resulting fry are housed in heated filtered tanks to optimize growth and health. They stay in these tanks until they reach nine to ten weeks of age, at which time the males must be removed to individual tanks. We begin offering the young bettas for sale when they reach 3 to 4 months of age and are weaned over to prepared foods(i.e. pellets and/or flakes).
