History

Welcome to South Bradford AFC

South Bradford AFC, formally T.F.D currently play their football on Saturday afternoons in the West Riding County Amateur League. They formed in 1999 by Craig Manning, who is still managing them after all these years. The squad consists of local lads from the Holmewood and Bierley estates.

They started out in which was then the Gratten League but then changed its name to the T&A League. During their time in the league they enjoyed some brilliant success over the years.

In 1999 they became Division 1 champions at their first attempt and the League cup came along in the same season. In 2000 They were then promoted to the Premier Division and at their first attempt in the top flight they went a full season with only losing two games and were crowned champions once again.

In 2001 they repeated their success and retained there crown. 2002 was to be their last seaon in the league as they felt they needed a some what more of a challenge at a higher level. They finished the season as league champions and also won the district cup final against there nearest rivals Dudley Hill Rangers.

Craig was voted Manager/Secretary of the year for his teams success.

They applied to join the West Riding County Amateur League in 2003 and were accepted through the fact they did so well in previous years along with been the first team ever from the Gratten League/ T&A Leagues history to actually get their hands on the Bradford & Distict Cup.
