Welcome to the Vixens Homepage!

Hello from the Vixens!!

Wow!! 2007/2008 was a fun-filled year for the Vixens! We helped with Ikon's launch night, with New Look's grand opening of their new store and cheered at the London Marathon!!!!

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has helped the Vixens achieve this and a massive WELL DONE to all the girls. After a few injuries all the girls worked hard to go out and compete...well done girls!!  Well done to all the other squads who competed! After such an excellent year the Vixens are now looking ahead to 2008/2009 and are very excited! 

The new committee has been elected and looking forward to the next year and meeting all the new freshers from Southampton University and from Southampton Solent. We'd love to see as many of you as possible, we will be at both uni's in Fresher's Week (the BunFight at the University and the SportsFair at Solent), so come and find us and we can tell you more about what we do and tell you about training and try-outs!! The Vixens have had a good time at competitions this year and are National Champions once again!!

Lets go VIXENS, lets go!!


The Vixens


The Southampton Vixens are a University cheerleading squad consisting of members from both Southampton University and Southampton Solent University.  The club, formed 10 years ago, was primarily established to support The Stags American Football team but, in the last 3 years, the club has grown in leaps and bounds (or should that be jumps and tumbles!)  As well as our ever continuing support for the Stags we have also begun to cheer for Southampton's Basketball team!

The Vixens have competed against cheerleading squads all over the country and have worked extremely hard, receiving accolades from both the British Cheerleading Association (BCA) and the UK Cheerleading Association (UKCA) (see achievements page)  We hope to further this success in the competitions to come.

This year our club has reached a huge membership of over 60 girls!  Of these 60 girls we have a cheer squad, a dance squad, game day cheerleaders and a stunt group.  We have proved we are committed members of the Vixens and the cheering world and we have a huge passion for the sport!  We work hard and play hard!  We have a fun loving National Champion winning squad!
