MANHATTAN BOROUGH, NY -- FDNY Communications transmitted BOX 0047 to 130 Liberty Street for the reported Hi-Rise building on fire. First calls reported a smell of smoke coming from the area of the building. During operations a 10-66 (Mayday) was transmitted as 2 Firefighter were found downed while operating inside the building. The firefighters were removed by fellow brothers as the Assignment reached the 5th Alarm. The 2 Downed members were rushed to local hospitals in critical condition. The fire over took many floors of the building as the 7th Alarm was transmitted and the word of the loss of our 2 Brother lost in battle was made known. FDNY communications transmitted the 5-5-5-5 for Brothers, FF Joseph Graffagnino with Ladder 5, Detailed to Engine 24 today as a fill in and FF Robert Beddia with Engine 24. PARKSIDE, PA -- At approximately 0200hrs companies 45(Parkside), 57(Upland), 65(Garden City), 63 and RIT 43
(Holmes) were dispatched to 11 Park Vallei Lane for a building fire. The Police, followed shortly there after by
Parkside Deputy Chief John Albany (459A) arrived and confirmed a working fire. Tac-45 arrived first and put a
line in service. Ladder 65 (Garden City) and Rescue 63 arrived almost simultaneously. At this time, Deputy
Chief Albany immediately advised the crews from Garden City and Green Ridge of a collapse with firefighters
trapped. D/C Albany requested the second alarm assignment be dispatched. Crews on the scene worked feverously under heavy fire conditions to locate and extricate the trapped firefighters. FF Brian Harris Sr. immediately assisted the operator from Tac 45 in securing a water supply. Conditions continued to deteriorate. Under the command of FF Dave Evans Jr. the crew from Rescue 63 entered an exposure to gain quicker access to side "C" of the fire building. Firefighters Evans Jr.,Thomas Morgan Jr. and Matt Didmenico (45) entered the fire building and quickly located and freed one of the trapped firefighters from side “C” to awaiting EMS. At this point FF Jack McPartland pulled a second handline and continued fire surpression on the “A” side. Firefighters Dave Evans Jr., Thomas Morgan Jr. came back to side “A” to assist firefighters Jim Ayers Sr., Jim Ayers Jr., Andrew Plotts, and Jim Carr III along with members of Ladder 65 and RIT43 worked to move a tremendous amount of debris from the collapse in an effort to find the second trapped firefighter. Crews gave it their all – in many cases working on their knees moving debris with their hands. Seconds turned into minutes as crews miraculously located the second downed firefighter. He was extricated through the front door and was met by awaiting EMS crews.

Batt 1 arrived on scene with a 3 story MOR heavy smoke showing from all three floors. Batt 1 was advised that a child was tapped on the 3rd floor. Batt 1 advised all first engine go i/s with 1 3/4 line and ladder company set up for the rescue. Ladder company advised they have 1 child request medics to the front of the fire building. Batt 1 reported bulk of the fire knocked down. Medics transported a 5y/o male full code. Deputy 1 request Car 1 & Car 2 to the scene due to the child been a code.
SUV vs Pole
Washington Twp Gloucester CO

Eng 10-1, Rescue 10-3, Squad 10-9 dispatched to Ganttown & Westminster for a SUV into a Pole. Pd arrived on scene with a SUV into a pole, live wires down and 1 victim trapped. Eng 10-1 arrived with a suv into a pole and 1 victim still inside the suv. Cmd 10-1 advised the rescue to go into service upon arrival. Ems transport victim to the hospital with minor injuries.

04/13/07 ENG 10,SQUAD 7,LADD 2,LADD 1,RESCUE 1, BATT 1 DISPATCHED TO 1325 MT.EPHRAIM AVE FOR A MOBLE HOME FIRE. DISPATCHED ADVISE THERE ADD ENG 8 AND BATT 2 DUE TO MULTIPLE CALLS. ENG 10 ARRVIED WITH FIRE SHOWING FROM THE REAR OF A MOBLIE HOME. ENG 10 WENT INSERVICE WITH A 1 3/4 line.
