Once again, TINAP is a proven success story thanks to all its wonderful contributors and show's attendees. Hundreds flocked to the event to show their support and admiration over the two-day Memorial Day weekend event. This year's show was twice as big as last year's, with over 150 photos on display, and perhaps even twice as much work. But with the help of many kind and unselfish individuals, it happened in a timely and fashionable manner. A HUGE THANKS goes out to each and every one of the photographers who showed his or her work. But an EXTRA SPECIAL THANKS goes out to DASHIELLE VAWTER, MIKEY MCCARTLE, MIKE CANCEL, JUSTIN PEARSON, KENNETH KOLL, MATT ANDERSON, NOA AZOULAY, RICH COOK, MARIA VANVILLE, ANTHONY MUSICK, ANTHONY BARENO, ROBERT PARDUE, DEREK PLANK, MATT and COLIN and the rest of CRIME DESIRE, LONNIE DEAN, AMBER BALES, CONNER KIRKWOOD, JOANNE ENGLAND, DANNE WOO, SARA VAN ANDEN, ANNAMARIA STEPHENS, TOM GRISWOLD, RANDY HOFFMAN, RUBEN LOPEZ, ANDREW CADDICK and ANDREAS BEARDMAN for going above and beyond and being all-around great people who believed in this event.

Check back here for photos from the show in a week or so. If you have any photos from the TINAP2 exhibition, please either post them, or email them to motleywoo at yahoo dot com

We have confirmed some live entertainment to close the show on Sunday night. The lovely ingenue NXXXX will perform her Gainsbourg-inspired songs at 10 p.m. while north county's most punishing lightning hardcore-ish band CRIME DESIRE will vaporize the stage at 11 p.m. The two may sound like a disparate crossbreeding of musical cultures, but they're both very talented and underplayed local bands.

An small preview write-up appears in the Under the Radar section of the Union-Tribune's SignOnSanDiego.com. Read all about it HERE.

An event listing appears in the Calendar section (under the "Special" subhead) of the San Diego Reader.

TINAP2 contributor DEREK PLANK is credited with the photo on the cover of today's issue of the San Diego Reader.

A twentieth page size ad appears in today's issue of San Diego CITYBEAT. Event listing with *CityBeat Picks* star in same publication.

The second installment of THIS IS NOT A PHOTOGRAPH: The Sound and Fury of San Diego Sonic Photography is under way. The official date has been set for Saturday, May 28, 2005 and Sunday, May 29, 2005 and it features a whole new crop of band photographers including RICH COOK, SEAN DEJECACION, JEFF WINTERBERG, ANTHONY MUSICK, DEREK PLANK, DARYL RYSDYK, JOSHUA WEINBERG, MARIA VANVILLE, NOA AZOULAY, ROBERT PARDUE, JEREMIAH GRIFFEY/CHRIS CAVALLO, LONNIE DEAN, ANTHONY BARENO, ANDREW CADDICK, ROB QUEENIN, GABE VEGA and yours truly. It'll be held at the same Voltaire Consort Space (4862 Voltaire Street) in Ocean Beach and I anticipate it to be a HUGE hit since last year's show shattered all previous attendance records for the venue

Here are some photos that ANDY CLYMER took at the show on both nights.

I'm happy to say that everything went BETTER than planned this weekend. Hundreds came out each night to view the exhibit and a good handfull or so of photos sold (GG ALLIN, GG and SPEEDO, JESUS LIZARD, FISHWIFE, CRIMSON CURSE, LOCUST, JOHNNY THUNDERS, JOE STRUMMER). ERIC RIFE and I raffled off a few of our prints (CAT POWER x 2, JOE STRUMMER, SOCIAL D) so that a few financially challenged attendees would not go home empty handed.

A big fat juicy thanks goes out to each and every one of the show's contributors who invested so much of their valuable time and energy into this project. A few special gratitudal shoutouts to the following: TETSUNORI TAWARAYA, MIKEY BUSINESSLADY, DAN BRYANT, MIA FERM, THE VOLTAIRE CONSORT, SPENCER CLARK, WILLIAM RIVERA, JAMILEE FAUSS, ANGELA CORONE, DIRK SUTRO, JOHN GOFF, WILL GOFF, THE DAVIS REDFORD TRIAD, RAY RAPOSA, ALANA MCMAINS, AARON PORES, JOHN REIS and JUSTIN PEARSON.

FEBRUARY 6, 2004 (Friday)

We've got confrimation for the Portland, Oregon-based Davis Redford Triad to perform on Valentines Day to close the show. The group's leader, Steven Wray Lobdell, is a purveyor of modern guitar psychedelia. He also plays with Sufi Mind Game, Baseball Astrologer and is an on-and-off a member of the legendary Krautrock band FAUST (he played on RIEN). Furthermore, just to let you know what's in store, the group's debut album, Mystical Path Of The Number Eighty Six, was released shortly after Lobdell's release from a mental institution in the spring of 1997. What a treat! This is going to be the best thing since Live at the Napa State Mental Institution!

We've also got confirmation for John Goff and Will Goff to deejay for the Valentines Day leg of the show. This works out well with Steven Wray Lobdell because they are issuing a FAUST remix of Muslimgauze recordings on their own Chlorophyll Records. Chris Woo and Dan Bryant will be deejaying on Friday the 13th to celebrate Dan's Birthday.

FEBRUARY 5, 2004 (Thursday)

New red ink fliers are finished and are being dispatched to various predictable storefronts, bars and coffee shops all over San Diego County.
