TED DRAKE
it was the best of times... it was the worst of times.... no, it was just a good time.
the early 90's, my early 20's. san diego had a great group of friends who played music together and i was lucky enough to be a part of it. Without an iota of music talent, I was at least able to do some writing, radio work, and finally photography.
my photographs are about enjoying the music. they are about the push and shove, the buzzing ears, and the connection between musician and listener. at least, that is what i see in them.
in the early 90's, i was a student at palomar college. the place was buzzing with some pretty darn creative photographers. i'm now teaching at palomar and try to generate the same curiosity and creativity.
i have to thank mark waters, john reis, o, dan sturt, trumans water, three mile pilot, drive like jehu, heavy vegetable, headhunter records, and especially tim maze and the casbah crew for some wonderful support and times.

england and europe. rumors were flying around about glen leaving the
band for good. after playing most of the show without him, glen joined
them for a hyperactive, mad-house encore.
