In The Eyes Of A Grieving Daughter~ Sample page

Katie walked into the computer room and sat down. She took a

deep breath and knew this was something she needed to do .

Being able to say good-bye to her mother was important.

She knew that just being at the funeral was not going to cut it because

that was only her mother’s shell and she knew the soul

went into heaven.   That was Katie’s belief and this is her way to handle

   TO MY LOVING MOM,

Mom I decided to write this letter in hopes that you will be

reading this from the stairway in heaven.  I know just because

your body is here with us that your souls and spirit is in heaven

with the lord.    I know that you are in a very special place that they

call heaven.    I know that you are here with us today. You have

become one of God’s newest Angel in Heaven.

I needed to write to you today to let you know that I will

always Love you, always and forever. I will miss you so much

and it breaks my heart you had to go but I know now

your in a better place that someday I will have to go .

As the tears fall from my eyes as I am writing you this

letter, I know you will get me through this day and all the

days to follow.  I will always remember the special

moments that we had and hold all the memories deep inside.

Remembering back as a child all the way to today. I see your loving

face and your very warm smile. The way you use to stroke my hair

with your soft hands, as I lay my head on your lap.     I remember

when you called me your baby no matter how old I was.

Mom I will and always will be your baby.

Mom I know that you loved all of us so much. I know you

put your self last when it came to your children.  I will always

remember: you always said you loved me before

you always hung up the phone.  You always lived each

day as special as you could.

Mom I can still hear you singing those songs and playing

your guitar, I can still hear you yodeling and seeing your

very sweet smile.  Mom I will look up to the sky and talk to

you while you are in heaven and I know that you will be

with me for ever.

All of these people came today to say their goodbyes.

Each and every person you touch in one way or another.

So many loved ones you left behind. All of us were so very

blessed to have you for a mother, friend, wife, grandmother

and I might add  a very special great grand mother.    I am

just very sad that you could not spend more time and

make special moments with your great grandson little Jimmy.

He is so young to know what is going on today.

We will keep you alive in our heart and let him know all about

his great grandmother. I know he is your pride n joy!

Mother   I know we have talked about life and how special

it is. That no matter what no one should ever take it for

granted, not even for one moment.     I know it was very hard to

hear you talk about the fact that one day you would no longer be

 here in the flesh.

As I sit and write this letter, with tears running down my face.

I know the day has come as shocked as I maybe.I will try and be

strong. I will get throughand try to mend my broken heart.

I have so much left to give before it is my time to go . For now mother

I must let you go  and go home to be with God.  I will let you

continue to your path to God and the stairway

 to  heaven.

Please remember that I love you, always and forever!

Love always, your loving youngest daughter,

          Hugs and kisses forever!                         Katie

Katie finished the letter to her mom and printed out.

She was going to pin it to her Mother’s coffin.    She knew

that her mother would read it while looking down from

 above.

Katie got up and pushed in the chair. She walked into the

bedroom and laid on her bed, pulled over the covers and laid

there in a daze. After a few minutes she fell asleep.

It had been a very busy day and she was totally exhausted.
