Kazuma Azuma
Occupation: Baker at Southern Tokyo Branch Pantasia
Description: A rice lover like his grandfather, Azuma didn't care much for bread.
But his older sister literally drags him to a bakery and has him taste what real bread
should taste like. Asking the baker how he made such delicious bread, the baker was
kind enough to show him while his sister went to school. Seeing how Azuma had
solar hands (warm hands that helps bread ferment better) the baker gets Azuma
interested in baking and tells him about his dream of making Ja-pan. Sadly the baker
would have to leave for poor business. Azuma decides to continue on with the baker's
dream. At the age of 16, Azuma sets out to Tokyo to be employed at one of the most
famous bakeries in Japan, Pantasia, in hopes to find something to make the perfect
Ja-pan.

Kyousuke Kawachi
Occupation: Baker at Southern Tokyo Branch Pantasia
Description: Determined to be employed in Pantasia, he becomes a bit of a
troublemaker inorder to achieve his goal. First thinking that Azuma was no threat since
he knows nothing about breads from other countries, he soon realizes that Azuma has solar
hands and is a skilled baker regardless of his knowledge. Though he is mean to Azuma,
Azuma eventually befriends him and start to work together as a team through the different
tournaments.

Tsukino Azusagawa
Occupation: Owner of the Southern Tokyo Branch Pantasia
Description: Tsukino is the granddaughter of the head of the Pantasia company and
one of the choices to inherit the company. Though she still in school, she goes to work
everyday and helps Azuma learn new breads such as French bread and Croissants.
She believes deeply in Azuma and his skills, and helps him through his battles of breads.
She also appears to have a crush on Azuma.

Ken Matsushiro
Occupation: Manager of Southern Tokyo Branch Pantasia
Description: Ken, usually just called Manager, is Japan's #1 French Bread artisan. Ever
since his young sister had a horrible allergic reaction to some bread he had baked, he is
very cautious about making bread that tastes good and that will not affect people's
allergies (always testing his bread on a horse). Though he appears to be a royal pain,
he does it to show hints of what they could do instead or to encourage his employees to
believe in themselves.

Ryo Kuroyanagi
Occupation: Judge for Pantasia's competitions
Description: Given the nickname "Old Man Kuroyan", Kuroyan quickly disliked Kawachi
and Azuma. After seeing their skills, he slowly watches them continue to go further into
their skills of baking. Though he seems mean and rude, he's fairly kind when you get to
know him and not calling him old when he's only 22. He has a unique skill in which he
can figure out exact ingredients, temperature, and amount of time of a bread that's
been baked, which makes it easy for him to judge the quality of bread.

Kai Suwabara
Occupation: Baker at the Main Branch Pantasia
Description: Suwabara is a serious baker, he trains himself as a samurai, but becomes
a baker to bring life instead of destroying it. After the Entrance exam, Suwabara
considers Azuma to be a rival and wishes to battle him again till he can win.Though
Suwabara seems cold-hearted, he usually means well, unless it's a one on battle with
Azuma.

Shigeru Kanmuri
Occupation: Baker for St.Pierre than switches to Pantasia
Description: Extremely talented baker, highly skilled, has solar hands like Azuma.
Attended Harvard University and graduated at 16, he is considered to be a genius. He
is used to battle Pantasia during the Newcomers' Tournament because he was being
black mailed, then decides to join Azuma after losing to him.

Kageto Kinoshita
Occupation: Baker at Southern Tokyo Branch Pantasia
Description: There's very little known about this guy, he's basically there so there's
an excuse for the main characters to not be working all the time. All you know about him
is that because he's the only one really working he works so fast that it appears that there's
more than one of him, then you find out he does have the ability to clone himself. He
has these abilities because he was raised in a circus that his family performed in, what lead
him to baking was his crush on Tsukino.
