Description: At the age of 15, Tetsu is determined to join the Shinsengumi
and avenge his parents, though his shorty stature makes it hard for him. At first,
he was not allowed to join because of Hijikata's call, but later is allowed to join
because of his determination, but as Hijikata's page. Tetsu's very innocence
and kind, though he's very quick-tempered. He has trouble doing his page duties
because he'd prefer to sprawl with the others, but this gets him in trouble often.

Tatsunosuke Ichimura

Description: Tatsu is Tetsu's older brother who has been taking care of him
for the last 2 years since their parents were murdered. Tatsu is easily worried
and over-protective of his little brother. Always being polite, he begs
forgiveness for his brother when he has gotten himself in trouble, which is
quite often. He doesn't wish for his brother to fight and happy that he is only
a page and hopes he gets the chance to fight.

Souji Okita
Rank: First Unit Captain of the Shinsengumi
Description: Souji is very child-like and kind, usually appears to look like
a girl, he doesn't mind, he prefers to play and have fun. When it comes to
getting serious, Souji gets serious. He seems odd for being the first
unit captain, he's is quite qualified for the job. And though he's one of the
nicest people in the Shinsengumi, he can be one of the scariest.

Toshizo Hijikata
Rank: One of the two Vice-Commanders
Description: Hijikata is considered to be the demon of the Shisengumi.
Though he seems cold and cruel, it's to cover his soft side which hardly
seen. At first, he refused to allow Tetsu join the Shinsengumi, but after
consideration of Souji and seeing how determined Tetsu was, he allowed
him in as his page. He refuses to give Tetsu a sword and making the same
mistake he made with Souji.

Keisuke Yamanami
Rank: One of the two Vice-Commanders
Description: Yamanami is the exact opposite of Hijikata, his good-natured
personality makes it easy for him to get along well with the men in the
Shinsengumi. Although, his good-nature makes hard for him to draw the
sword and wishes to be demoted to a simple book keeper.

Isami Kondo
Rank: Commander
Description: Mr. Kondo is the man in charge of the Shinsengumi.
(Though Hijikata seems to do all the work.) Kondo has a grandfather-like
personality, always cheerful and laughing. Though he acts clueless at times,
he knows when it's time to get to work.

Susumu Yamazaki
Rank: Watcher (Spy)
Description: Because Susumu is a spy, he's considered a mysterious
person. He takes his work seriously and hardly shows his emotions. Since he
was a child, he was trained to be a spy by his sister. By day, he disguises
himself as his elder sister; by night, he sits on rooftops, listening in on the
Chousuu's plans.

Ayumu Yamazaki
Rank: Cook and Watcher (Spy)
Description: Ayu acts as the big sister of the Shinsengumi. Though she
is Susumu's older sister, she made him treat each other as though they
weren't siblings, so they wouldn't be attacted to each other. But although
it goes against what she taught him, she still cares about her little brother.
