14
Description: Sora, an outgoing and cheerful teenager who was born on the Destiny Islands 14 years ago. Riku, his elder by a year, and Kairi, an optimistic young girl, are Sora's best friends. The three decide to leave the islands and set sail to discover the world of Kairi's childhood. However, before the planned departure the three friends are mysteriously separated. Sora finds himself alone in Traverse Town and decides to search for his two comrades in an attempt to return home with them to the Destiny Islands.

Kairi
Age:
14
Description: Kairi arrived at the Destiny Islands some years ago on a night, which saw shooting stars showering across the sky. She lost her memory that night and to this day cannot recall any details of her origins. Now 14 years of age, she has grown into a cheerful, strong-minded teenager who feels very much at home on the islands. Nevertheless, Kairi and her two friends, Sora and Riku, decide to leave the Destiny Islands to learn more about Kairi's past. However, before they can set off on their journey, their plans are interrupted by the Heartless...

Riku
Age:
15
Description: The 15-year-old Riku is a self-confident teenager who seems rather mature for his age. Considered particularly gifted, he is admired and somewhat envied by many of his peers. Thus, the firm bond of friendship that has developed between him and Sora is not entirely free of rivalry. Riku's inquiring mind entices him to leave the Destiny Islands along with Sora and Kairi.

Donald

The well-known, temperamental duck takes on the role of royal magician at Disney Castle. A confidant of his missing monarch, Donald departs with Goofy in search of his sovereign. Goofy
Description:
Goofy is the captain of the royal knights at Disney Castle. A compassionate and cheerful fellow by nature, he dislikes fighting and hurting others. Goofy made his first appearance in the 1932 animated feature film: Disney’s Mickey’s Revue

Tarzan

His encounter with Jane triggered Tarzan's interest in the world beyond the jungle. He also began to learn the human language.

The animated feature film Tarzan was released in 1999.

Aladdin

The animated feature film Disney's Aladdin was released in 1992

Ariel
Description:
The 16-year-old mermaid is the youngest daughter of King Triton, ruler of the seas. Blessed with the loveliest voice in Atlantica, Ariel is far too fascinated by the human world for her father's liking. She often ventures to the surface of the sea, collecting objects lost by humans. Ariel's capers constantly confound her "minder", Sebastian the crab

Ariel's enchanting voice was the first heard in the 1989 animated feature film: Disney's The Little Mermaid.

Peter Pan
Description:
The flying boy loves pranks above all else. Like all citizens of Neverland, he does not age and is wilful and utterly fearless. Peter also possesses a strong sense of justice. As if to balance his childish traits, he also has characteristics that make him appear mature and grown-up. Peter has already fought and won countless battles against his eternal nemesis, Captain Hook. This time, however, Hook has kidnapped Peter's friend Wendy. To rescue her, Peter Pan must venture into the lions den: the pirates ship!

The animated feature film Disney’s Peter Pan was released in 1953.

Kingdom Hearts II Characters and Worlds

Kingdom Hearts 2 >> Characters >> Main Characters By: Pete Campbell

Similar to Kingdom Hearts, the sequel will have numerous main characters who will appear throughout the game who are connected with the main protaginist Sora in some form.

Age: 15

Role: Sora has reprised the role of the main character in Kingdom Hearts 2 and his role from what we have learnt involves Sora & Co. one year later, still on a journey to find the door to the light and in additon clear the universe of heartless, who have now returned. Also in this game Sora will continue to cross the path's of the Organisation and probably have his first encounter with the leader of the Organisation, Ansem (he is in a red, mummy like outfit).

Other Details: Sora now has the ability to weild 2 keyblades (and become more powerful) when he merges with Goofy ("Brave Form"), please check our other KH2 section's to see it in action.

Role: Sticking to his promise as following the keyblade holder, Donald is still fighting alongside Sora and aid's him in battle with his powerful magic skills. Early in Kingdom Hearts 2, Donald will again come across the person him & Goofy were searching for duringKingdom Hearts, King Mickey.

Other Details: Donald should also be able to merge with Sora to create another "Form", we currently know that Sora can weild 2 keyblades when in "Brave Form" (Sora merged with Goofy).

Role: Sticking to his promise as following the keyblade holder, Goofy is still fighting alongside Sora and aid's him in battle with his powerful defence skills. Early in Kingdom Hearts 2, Goofy will again come across the person him & Donald were searching for during Kingdom Hearts, King Mickey.

Other Details: Goofy can merge with Sora, this causes him to go into "Brave Form" where he can weild 2 keyblades and becomes much more powerful.

Role: We are still very unclear on who this character really is. We know that he is one of the members of the Organistion featured in the "Deep Dive" video due to similar hair, facial features and the keyblades they weild. In this characters scene with Axel, he shouts "You cannot see Sora" which show's that both characters are connected with each other and in general this character will have a very big role. There are tons of theorys regarding that he is Sora's brother, one of his "Forms" etc. but we know so little about its not even worth trying to figure it out!

Other Det
ails: This character resides in Twlight Town, we have also seen Sora, Donald, Goofy, King Mickey and Kairi in this location, which obviously those characters should meet this one will meet each other early on in the game. Also it is heavily rumored that this character is called "Tyson" (but it sounds like that name was just plucked out of the air).

Age: 15

Role:
One year ago prior to the events of this game, Kairi was seperated from Sora and she was returned back to her homeland of Destiny Islands.
Now she resides in Twilight Town, presumably searching for Sora and Riku. If the Organisation make an attempt to bring recapture all the princesses, this could put Kairi under a lot of danger.

Other Details: For some reason, an image of Kairi's face has yet to be revealed.. why?

Role: We last seen Mickey aid Sora close Kingdom Hearts, locking him and Riku within it. In Chain Of Memories we witness both Mickey and Riku join the Organisation. Sora & Co. will meet King Mickey early on in Kingdom Hearts 2, in Twilight Town. In Kingdom Hearts 2 we'll see King Mickey probably explain to Sora what exactly is going on and why he has joined the Organisation along with Riku.

Other Details: It has been quoted that during Kingdom Hearts 2, Mickey will play a special role in aiding Sora & Co.

Role: At this moment of time, we know nothing about Riku's appearence in Kingdom Hearts 2. We only know he is in the game because the voice of Riku in Kingdom Hearts, David Gallager said he was in talks about doing his voice in this game. We last seen Riku in Chain Of Memories, where we scene of him and Mickey joining the Organisation. A big part of Kingdom Hearts 2 will revolve around whether Sora will have the chance to see Riku again.

Game: Final Fantasy X

Role: In Kingdom Hearts 2, Auron is summoned by Hades to kill Hercules. But instead Auron refuses and try's to kill Hades instead! When Sora & Co. meet Auron together they argue over who should defeat Hades. But this results in an epic battle where Sora and Auron team up to fight against the mighty Cerebus.

From: Multiple Disney Cartoons

Role: In Kingdom Hearts 2, Pete travels across various worlds getting involved with each world's Villains, we have alreadly seen him helping out Hades and trying to bring Jafar back in Agrabah. You could go as far to say he is this games Malficient, but most of her role seems to be covered by the Organisation this time. Lets just say Pete is what you get when you make Malficient retarded and less important.

Kingdom Hearts 2 >> Characters >> Fabled Countryside

A new world to Kingdom Hearts 2, based on the classic Disney film, Beauty & The Beast.

Role: In Kingdom Hearts. Beast was a valuable party member and also fought with Sora against the mysterious member of the Organisaiton (Final Mix). This time around another member of the Organisation has manipulated Beast to turn him evil and forget all of his friends. Upon seeing Sora & Co. he attacks them and he also imprisons all of the Castle's staff underground.

Other Details: What does the Organisation want from Beast? Do they wish to use him as tool to defeat Sora?

Role: Belle is one the Disney princesses who was captured in Kingdom Hearts, who Sora than set free. She calls upon Sora & Co. to come to there world as she fears the way Beast has been acting lately. She also brings Sora & Co. up to date in the events happening in there home.

Other Details: If the organisation plans to recapture all of the princesses, this puts Belle at great danger.

Role: Cogsworth, Chip, Lumiere and Mrs. Potts have all been imprisoned by Beast in the Castle's Dungeon and Belle asks Sora to find them and free them as she fears to try and do so herself. Besides this they'll all play a minor Role.

Kingdom Hearts 2 >> Characters >> Oylmpus Coliseum

In Kingdom Hearts 2, the popular Oylmpus Coliseum has returned to be used in a similar fashion to the last game and as a regular world. The main storyline for this world takes place Underworld where Hades resides. This time the world will feature more characters from the original movie.

Role: The original hero is back, he openly welcomes Sora back into the world but as time progresses we begin to learn that Hercules no longer saves/aids people for a reason we have yet to learn, but either way his adoring fans wish to see him back in action.

Role: In the original movie, by giving up his life for Meg, Hercules became a true hero. In Kingdom Hearts 2, Meg aids Sora throughout that world, we have alreadly seen her have a few conversations with him and meet him in Hade's underworld.

Role: The almighty ruler of the underworld returns to Kingdom Hearts 2, still persuing his quest to kill Hercules. This time around he hires Auron to do his dirty work but all does not go to plan when Auron decides to try and kill Hades instead! This causes Hades to go crazy and try to defeat Auron and then later Sora & Co. Hades having complete control over the underworld makes Auron and Sora's gang have to run for there lives out of the place as Hades try's to stop them with tons of Heartless and Cerebus.

Other Details: New bad-guy Pete also works alongside Hades in the Underworld and suggest they should turn Hercules into a heartless.

Role: Hercules trusted Horse makes his introduction in Kingdom Hearts 2. Pegasus will pop a few times during the world as he is used by Meg to travel to the underworld, its even possible that this may be how Sora & Co. gets there.

Kingdom Hearts 2 >> Characters >> Agrabah

First featured in Kingdom Hearts, the sequel will also have the world of Agrabah to play in, based on the Aladdin movies.

Role: A Thief, albeit a generous one, who roamed the streets of Agrabah carefree until he meets Jasmine.
In Kingom Hearts, he teamed up with Sora against Jafar who kidnapped Jasmine (being a princess of heart).
Was seen happily re-united with his loved one in company of Genie and Abu at the end of KH.
A scene in the latest TGS trailer showed him in a sort of cave in company of Abu.

Other Details: Similar to Kingdom Hearts, Aladdin can be party of Sora's party and help in Combat against enemys.

Role: Princess of Agrabah, who desires to free herself from her royal
duties; Aladdin helps her realise the joys of freedom.
In Kingdom Hearts she was one of the princesses of heart so very much sought-after. Last seen in KH
happy in company of Aladdin. A scene in the trailer shows her meeting Sora and co again.

Other Details: If the Organisation seeks to recapture all the princesses, this puts Jasmine at great risk.

Role: Under the cover of being the sultan's Grand Vizier, he gradually gained more power and eminnence until
he becomes pretty powerful sorcerer. In Kingdom Hearts he was one of the villains who teamed up with
Maleficent to gather the princesses of heart. Pete is seen in the TGS2004 trailer holding his Genie form
lamp so this is a big hint to his comeback, although what his role would be is yet to be seen.

Other Details: Rumored that if he cameback, he would be a Cobra like in the 1st Aladdin movie.

Role: Name defines purpose here. He has the power to grant any three whishes (with a few rules). A servant
with a sense of humour. In Kingdom Hearts he was a summon that casts random magic spells onto targets
when activated. Last seen in the TGS 2004 trailer for both CoM and KHII and it is very likely that he shall
be a summon for both (do not despair! Nomura did say that the summons will play a more important role
gameplay-wise!)

Role:
Aladdin's oldest friend, they started stealing in Argabah for as long as anyone can tell. In Kingdom Hearts
he was useful to activate gems in the Cave of Wonders. Seen in company of Aladdin in the TGS 2004 trailer so
will probably be our gem-activating friend again.

Kingdom Hearts 2 >> Characters >> Ancient China

A new world to Kingdom Hearts 2, based on the popular Disney movie Mulan.

Role: High-spirited, independent, Mulan tries to please her parents but feels she’s let them down by her remarkable
clumsiness. When her sick father is sent to the army, she decides to fight in his place by disguising herself as a boy.
The Disney tomboy.

Other Details: Mulan can be used as a party member to help Sora in combat against enemies.

Role: Mushu was once a guardian of Mulan's family, but has been demoted because of a mistake he made.
Now his main duty as an incense burner is to ring the gong to awaken the ancestors. Mushu is determined
to regain his place as a true guardian. Another "accident" (bloody stone dragons...) means he is promoted to
the post of Mulan's guardian. Seen in CoM trailers as a summon again. Cri-Kee is Mulan’s lucky charm given by her
grandma though at first all he does is the opposite. Either, or both???, will possibly appear as summons in KHII
but we can only hope this will mean more excitement that throwing a puny little fireball in the enemy's general
direction.

Other Details: A Summon in Kingdom Hearts.

Role: Shang is the son of an army general. His responsibility is to train the inexperienced troops for battle.
As is often the case with old Disney, he is actually quite useless apart from singing the songs that are
scattered throughout the movie... appears to be just as useless in the TGS trailer of KHII.

Role: The leader of the Huns, he is our traditionnal view of a barbarian; brutal and a master at the arts of war.
His falcon is a usefull spy.

Kingom Hearts Overview

Overview By: Pete Campbell

Below is a summary which covers the Original Game, so for those who have forgot a few things that happened in the original adventure, you can easily remind yourself here:

You have a dream. You pick 1 of 3 weapons then battle little and gigantic heartless...
It all begins on Destiny Island where you are just a young kid thats trying to have some fun. Your name is Sora. You meet up with a boy named Riku and a girl named Kairi. They've been your friends for a long time. All 3 of you decide to explore other worlds so you decide to build a raft and start obtaining supplys for it, shortly after you race Riku to find out the name of the raft. When lying in bed the sky gets dark and black things start to appear out of the ground. After your friend Riku gets swallowed by darkness a Weapon appears in front of you. You use this to defeat the black creatures called "Heartless". You rush to a secret place where you earlier encounted a hooded figure (Ansem). At the secret place, you see Kairi who then passes through you (and basically Sora obtains her heart) after taking down Darkside the huge heartless you end up in Traverse town where you meet up with Donald and Goofy who are looking for the Keyblade Weilder and there King, Mickey Mouse. You must now travel to all the different world and seal the keyholes with Goofy and Donald. Also you personallly want to You must find Kairi and Riku. As the game progresses you see Riku is gradually leaning towards the Darkside as Malficient influences him. After sealing all the keyholes and meeting characters (the worlds are Traverse Town, Deep Jungle, Wonderland, Coliseum, Halloween Town, Neverland, Atlantica, Agrabah, Monstro and Hollow Bastion) you fight Riku who you have learned is being posessed by Ansem and that he is the true Keyblade Weilder, Sora was only the carrier while Riku was away. Also Kairi lost her heart and Riku has been looking for a way to revive her. After beating him and being revived because you gave Kairi's heart back (but of course, you obtain yours) you travel to the end of the world to beat Ansem for good. When you beat him Riku is trapped inside the door (As his heart was engulfed by the Darkness) with Mickey who looked for the key in Kingdom Hearts and Kairi returns to Destiny Islands, making her seperated from Sora. Soon after you are in a long field and Pluto runs up to you with a note in his mouth from King Mickey, meaning your journey is only just beginning! You then chase him and the game ends. If you collected everything needed to unlock the secret movies, Another Side, Another Story and Deep Dive (If you own Final Mix) will now play

KINGDOM HEARTS® II

The release date for KINGDOM HEARTS II will be announced at a later date. This title has yet to be rated by the ESRB

Battle's

Kingdom Hearts 2 will feature a brand new battle engine, below is what we know about it...

General Attack's

Just like the original game Kingdom Hearts 2 will featured "Hack & Slash" style battles, press the Attack button (O or X) and Sora will attack with his keyblade. Later on in the game, it is likely you can use two keyblades, but currently we do not know how it will work with two keyblades. When defeating an enemy with your Keyblade, several HP & MP ball's will appear allowing you to slightly regain lost HP or MP (just like in the original game!)

Summons

In a Gamespot.com Interview, Nomura mentioned that "The overall concept of summoning will be different in Kingdom Hearts 2". Compared to previous ways of summoning, most people point to the scheme used in Final Fantasy X where you take actual control of the character and they have there own HP & MP stats.

Magic

Judging from the Kingdom Hearts 2 trailers, we can see Magic will return. Its expected that we'll see more varietys of Magic including the return of the spell's from Kingdom Hearts, below is a confirmed list of spell's:

- Blizzard, Blizzara, Blizzaga

Abilities

Because of the new battle engine, several new abilites have been added to Kingdom Hearts 2, below is a confirmed list of Abilities:

- Mawarikomu [Turn behind the enemy for a sneaky attack]
- Wall Kick [Kick off wall's to keep in the air]
- Safe Landing [land safely when hit mid-air]
- Full Swing
- Teleport
- Air Juggle

HP/MP/Drive Meter/Command Menu

Firstly Sora's Command Menu will change to a visual theme that reflects whichever World he's currently in. The HP Bar seem's to work the same way, the higher your level or more HP boosting items you equip, the longer the bar. In addition the MP Bar works the same way. As for the mysterious Drive Meter seems to tie-in to how many enemies you kill, and it may or may not be the only type. For example, one magazine mentions that if you kill enough enemies, and the gauge fills to capacity, Sora is able to unleash a powerful attack (the meter keeps count). If you execute the attack enough, and kill enough enemies, the level of the meter increases, and the attacks/techniques Sora is able to utilize when the meter is full are upgraded (but you can still use the lower-level attacks by hitting the appropriate button when the gauge fills to that specific point).

Heartless/Bosses

New Heartless/White Enemys

- Rabid [Little dog-like things]
- HookWing [The bat-like Heartless with the red hooks on their tails]
- Spectral Mage
[A magic-type Heartless holding a candle]
-
Flailers [The thin white enemy seen in the KH2 Trailers]

Old Heartless
-
Shadow's
- NEO Shadow's

-
Large Body's

Bosses
- DarkSide
- Nessus
- The Hydra
- The Cyclops
- The Titans [Not known if all 4 from Hercules or the missing 2 from KH]
- Auron [Obvious as Auron is hired by Hades]
- Beast [There is an image of him attacking Sora in a battle]
- Cerberus [Might not be a boss, but is returning]
- Hades? [Its very likely]

Misc

Transportation

In Twilight Town there is a train station, which is stated will have an important role in game. Within it is a mysterious clock-tower which we see the Blonde boy and 3 other people sit on, of course the clock tower is very important on it's on but think about the main use of a Train Station, to catch a train. A train to other worlds? yeah it does seem a little strange but its perfectly possible. In addition, this does seem even more likely as this time the Gummi Ship will be "more like an attraction or a ride" as Nomura likes to put it. From this I gather that there will be a optional section of the game comprised of only Gummi Ship missions (first seen in Final Mix).

Real Time

APPARENTLY, The game will keep "Real Time", and the large clock on the train station in Twilight Town will also reflect this (in other words, among other things, there will be a definitive day and night periods in each World and they will alternate on a regular basis).

Optional/Extras

Well we alreadly know of the Coliseum, but apparently there will be a lot of mini-games involved during regular battles in worlds. In addition, as previously mentioned the Gummi Ship will be now purely an attraction or ride.
