Opening Traps
Here you will find some opening traps and opening
tactics for beginners to win the game very quickly. But if you are a
pretty good player who wants to have a little more book knowledge click
here. And it will take you to the bottom of this page were the
advanced opening traps are. The main idea for openings is to get your
pieces developed, And to close up the opponents position to stop him/her
from getting his/her pieces developed also, Another is try to be up
material at all times if its safe, And protect your king from attacks!
Easy for me to sit back and say but not so easy to do, I hope this page
will help you get a little better at all stated.
:-)
If you play 1. e3 and black plays anything except e6
or Nf6 you force win, Or win lots of material. Example:
If black plays something like Nc6 you force win. Do
you see how? Maybe a diagram will help.

2. Qh5!! g6 3. Qd5!! And black can't defend both
squares, So you forcefully win! Here is what the finished game will look
like:

Here is another opening tactic the Nf3 opening, You
play 1.Nf3 then black defends with f6 (only good defense) And you play
2. Nd4!! And if black plays *anything* other than Nh6 you forcefully win
or win lots of material! I will show you a diagram.

Now you play 3 Nf5!! And black can play e6 or e5, Lets
say black plays e5, Then you do Nxg7!! and win lots of material! Here is
the second diagram of the advantage for white.

And black has no attacks to win back material, So its
basically over for black.
Another great opening is 1. Nc3 and black can only
play Nf6, or e6. But lets say Black plays what most 1300-1600 players
play c6. Then you play 2. Ne4!! And dominate. Blacks best defense to
2.Ne4 is Na6 then White plays 3.e3!! and black is dead. Black must play
e6 to stop Qh6, If black plays anything else he loses a queen or loses.
Then white plays 4.Ng5 then black plays f6 or f7 and white does 5.Nxh7
and black is toast.

The last opening trap is the 1.Nh3 opening which is a
very good opening for Atomic. White Plays 1.Nh3 and black plays g5, Its
hard to believe, But this is actually a *forced win!* for white!! White
plays 2. e3 and Black can play nothing to defend its already over now.
Black plays the best possible move which is h5 and White plays 3.Qf3 and
black must play f6 or f5 (Or Nf6 but that is more advanced, See advanced
opening traps for that variation), Lets say black plays f6 in this case. Then
White plays 4.Qd5!!! and is attacking two squares at once, And black
can't defend both at the same time, So white wins! Here is the final
position to make it clearer for you.

Advanced
Opening Traps
Here you will learn opening traps if you are a pretty
good player, And want to learn a little more and improve you server
rating a little more.
First off we will start with the opening trap for good
players with Nf3 openings. White plays 1. Nf3 and black defends with f7
White plays 2.Nd4 Black defends with Nh6 White plays 3.Nf5 and black
responds with Nxf5 and White plays 4.Nc3 black to play c6 then White
plays 5.e4!! and people usually play everything except the two correct
responses which are g6 or h5 If black plays anything else he is
basically toast or loses by force here is the diagram for the position
so you can study it a little easier.

If black plays d5,d6,e6,e5,f5,g5,h6,a6,a5,b6,b5,Na6
black loses by force or loses lots of material, And I will take you
through all of these traps now.
If d5 Nb5 cxb5 and Bb5 Nc6 d4 a6 esd5 axb5 Qh5 g6 Qb5
and white force wins obviously, Because black can't stop that annoying
queen.
If d6 then Nd5 pxd5 Qh5 g6 Qb5 Nc6 Qb6! pxb6 bb5 kf7
be8 Now if kg8 then bf7 forced win in one move, So instead king goes to
ke6 instead of kg8 Then white plays e5 forced win in one move, So now we
have got ridden of the responses d5 d6 Na6 a6 a5 and d6. Next
If e5 Then Qh5 g6 Qh3 f5 pxf5 and forced win in two
moves (You can probably see it for yourself).
If e6 Then Nd5 c6xd5 Qh5 g6 Qb5 Nc6 Qb6 pxb6 bb5 kf5
bxd7 and White is crushing black. But if black plays e6xd5 then its a
different line, So Then White would play Qh5 g6 Qh3 f5 pxf5 and White
force wins in two moves.
If g5 then white simply plays Qh5 and white force wins
in one move, Now all that's left is g6.
If h6 then Nd5 pxd5 Qh5 g6 Qd5 and white force wins in
one move, Now that ALL that's over with I'll show you the other opening
trap for Nf3.
Next opening trap: Nf3 #2
Nf3 f6 Nd4 Nh6 e3 and if white plays anything except
c6 or Ng4 white force wins or wins lots of material I will only go over
the hardest win to find since you should be good enough to find the win
if Black plays anything else other than this opening or Ng4 or c6 Here
we go.
1. Nc3 Ng4 2. f4 d5 3. Ndb5 cxb5 4. Nb5 Qa5 5. b4 Qa4
6. Nc7 Kd8 7. Bb5 Bf5 8. Nxa8 Bxc2 9. Bxa4 Nf2 10. O-O Nd3 11. Rac1 Nxc1
12. Rc1 e5 13. Rc8 Kd7 14. Rd8 Kc7 15. Rd7 Kc6 16. Rxb7 {Black's King
Exploded}1-0

Next opening trap: Nh3
Nh3 f6 Nc3 c6 e4 (Does this look familiar?) Well yes!
It is, This is actually the exact same as the Nf3 line except with the
Knight on h3 instead of f3, VERY few people know this opening, But
everything is the same. As the first advanced opening trap I showed you.
Look at it to see what to play if black plays anything except h5 or g6.
Here's a diagram to practice with.

Next opening trap: Nc3
I'm going to show you one more advanced opening trap,
And that's it! Although it is very short, You will get good use out of
it! But one small difference, This opening trap is for black to play!
And *LOTS* of players play it. :-)
Nc3 Nf6 Nd5 e6 (looks unusual right?) But if white
tries to make material and do Nxc7 Then black simply plays Ne4! So
instead white decides to take the knight with Nxf6 then black plays Qh4
g3 Qd4 and its forced! Here's a diagram

So as white *never* play 2. Nd5 after 1.Nc3 unless
your opponent plays something else other than Nf6 after 1. Nc3.
Next opening trap: Nh3 #2
OK, Here is another great opening that many of the top
players play. It goes as 1.Nh3 f6 2.Nc3 c6 3 e3! Now, Black has only ONE
response to this line and even that one response is losing for black.
Anyway. the only response is 3..d5 4.Ng5 Bg4 5.f3 fxg5 (notice how black
moves bishop first to block queen from getting out) And usually I play
6.f4 and it opens the queen, There are many things that can be played.

Next opening trap: Nf3 #3
White played 1.Nf3 f6 2. Nc3 c6 3. e4! This is also a
very common line. It looks familiar too! This line is the exact same as
the Nf3 line (first) study it and you'll see what black should/shouldn't
play. Because this line is exactly the same as the first Nf3 line except
there is a extra knight! (Also I should include that if 3..Nh3 then
4.Ne5 pxe5 5.Nd5 pxd5 6. Qh6 and obviously leads to forced win, If you
don't see it you shouldn't be reading Advanced opening traps section.
