Who among us has not at sometime thought that the justice system in our country needed some adjustments? Frustration with the system is understandable, but Steven Charles, driven by an illness that would soon snuff out his life, felt compelled to do more. He had only a short time, and perhaps that could be a defense for the drastic measures he took to try and "correct" a system that he felt did not adequately protect its citizens. He formed a "group" of others that supported his beliefs and they took the law into their own hands. As one would guess, it soon became hard to tell the bad guys from the good guys as everything started going awry.

Brad Smith captured my attention from the very start of this well-written book and held it to the end. With its many twists and turns, you will be caught up in the lives of these very believable people and with the in-depth descriptions of people and places, you will be able to "be there" throughout the story. It is easy to see that Mr. Smith did his homework on his book and this will, I believe, be the reason that we will see it become a best seller.

Based on an idea that could really happen.  This novel is fast-moving and contains great dialogue, some likable characters, and some truly memorable evil ones.  Smith could become the next Tom Clancy if his follow-up novels are of the same high-caliber.  This reader is looking forward to the author's second book already!

A must read! A real page turner with characters that are unforgettable. It's unbelievable that this is Brad's first book, it's written in a way that makes you believe that these good guys and bad guys have been around for a while. I can't wait for his next book, and the next, and the next!
