It's the best move in the game and its called HiddenPower+. Unfortunately, the only way to learn this attack move is by learning HiddenPower at level 10 and staying with that useless move all the way till you arrive to level 85. So, whatever you do, do not forget HiddenPower before level 85 or else you will not be able to learn HiddenPower+. -- 3- Goliath Battle Training When you first start the game you spawn surrounded by grass. Go south to meet with Goliath, a greenish Snorlax who's there to teach you how to defend yourself. You HAVE to battle him for around 3 to 4 rounds, or else you will not be able to continue. Its an easy battle and the game will not let you lose so don't worry, you will NOT lose. -- 4- Meeting Merlin 1st Time So, time to meet Merlin. Most people consider Merlin to be the most annoying character in game, others doesn't. He's cocky and SOMETIMES can be a pain to win his battles. When you finish battling with Goliath, go north and follow the path to your right. You will find Merlin eventually. (Before going to Merlin, get at least three berries from the Berry Tree to the right where you battle Goliath). Merlin will then battle you. -Name: Merlin -Level: 5 -HP: 18 -Bonus: x2 exp if you are a BYOND member -- 5- First Pokecenter and FullHealth use After battling Merlin, you will find a Pokecenter not far from there. There you will be able to Heal your HP for free. Another way to heal yourself is by using FullHealth. On-screen, there's a shiny SHOP icon. Click it and there you will be able to buy stuff. Also, you will be able to get yourself full HP everytime you aren't close to a Pokecenter. You just need 150BPs (Bonus Points), wich is the money you use in game. You win BPs after each battle. You may lose 50 BPs everytime you lose a battle (faint). -- 6- Danemo Cave on Route 702 Follow the south path from route 702's Pokecenter. You will find a cave to your left. That's Danemo Cave. You will not be able to enter the cave unless you're level 12 or above. Time to train! The good thing about training is that the current servers have the x2 exp bonus ON, so, it wouldn't be a problem to train to level 12, even tho I recommend level 14 for Danemo Cave because of the ugly cheap Zubats. When you get to level 12 you will be asked if you want to learn Bubble. Do so, since Danemo Cave has many Rock/Ground type Pokemon and those Normal type moves will be useless. -- 7- Danemo Dungeon We are inside Danemo Cave. Even when it is only the first dungeon, it is kinda hard because of those Wild Zubats, so, whatever you do, try running away from those Zubats, please do so... if you want to live tho. Everytime you faint by a Wild Pokemon you are sent to the beggining of the dungeon, so try to keep your HP high enough. Use FullHealth a lot! We are at the biggining of Danemo Cave. Go North, follow the path. You will find two doors (north and south). To get the first key go through that big path to the south (east from those two doors). Follow the path down then right and you will find a chest with a key. (If you want a free full restore go left from the chest and you will be able to walk through the wall, there you MAY find a full restore.) Ok, we have the key. Go up where both doors are. Open the door to the buttom first. One chest has 4000BPs/Super Potion and the other one has the key for the other door. Go through the door to your north and follow the path. You will find another door. Follow the nasty path to your right and you will eventually find a chest with the key. Go through the door and follow the path to your left. Follow the path and eventually you will walk between two rocks and your HP will be fully healed, which means something bad's going to happen, Danemo Cave's boss. Walk between the kangaskan statues and you will fight Molyarough. I recommend you to be level 16 - 18 to fight this boss. I also recommend that you buy some Super Potions, 3 to 5 in case of Critical Hits. -Name: Molyarough -Level: Basic -HP: 350 -Type(s): None -Weakness: None -Moves: Raise Defense, Tackle, Crunch, Confusion -Items: RareCandy If you lose to bosses you will not be sent to the beginning of the dungeon, just in case. -- 8- 1st GYM When you defeat Danemo Cave boss, you will be able to finally exit the cave. Merlin will surprise you as soon as you get out of the cave telling you that you were late, blahblahblah. So, you're at Route702. You will find a Pokecenter and the 1st GYM. There's a total of 4 GYMs in this game. Each one will "prepare you" for the next area, they will let you get through a certain kind of level and will let you use Hidden Moves. You will be battling 3 Pokemon in this gym and the leader. If you've beaten Molyarough you will be able to get this done easly. Get your Bubble ready and head to the GYM. I recommend you to have a few Super Potions. Bug note: in this gym, gym's music overlaps with Pokemon encounter music. It fixes itself as soon as you start the battle. -Name: Graveler Omar -Level: 18 -HP: 47 -Type(s): Rock -Weakness: Water -Items: None -Name: Onix Paul -Level: 19 -HP: 42 -Type(s): Rock -Weakness: Water -Items: None -Name: Sandshrew Manika -Level: 21 -HP: 52 -Type(s): Ground -Weakness: Water -Items: None -Name: GYM Leader Rypherior Malote -Level: 23 -HP: 80 -Type(s): Rock -Weakness: Water -Items: None Malote's defense is set to your strength. What does this means? That depending your current strength is the defense that Malote will have. Annoying much? I don't think so... Malote has Toxic, which can be more annoying. The poison damage will increase to double each turn.. Ok, so, we've won the battle against Malote. You will receive the Malote badge and TM011 Magnitude. You can choose to learn Magnitude now, which is something I strongly recommend. -- 9- Meeting Merlin 2nd Time After Malote's battle go to the Pokecenter and restore your HP because you will battle your rival for the 2nd time. East from Pokecenter you will find a dark cave where you need flash. That cave allows easy access to get to route 702, the first route. Ignore that cave and go North. There you will find Merlin. I recommend you to be level 18 - 23. -Name: Merlin -Level: Unknown -HP: 59 -Type(s): None -Weakness: None -Moves: Magnitude, HiddenPower, Ember, Tackle -Items: None -- 10- Meeting Bluish 1st Time You should go back to the Pokecenter and restore your HP after Merlin's battle. Go east, you will find a Berry Tree that gives you China Berries. Those restore 50 HP each which is decent for now. You will then find 2 paths to your right, UP and DOWN. Go first to the path to your south and you will find a house where you can learn the HiddenMove Flash. Go back where the China Berry Tree is and go through the upper path. You will there find a "bluegreenish" Pikachu. I strongly recommend you have Magnitude at this point. -Name: 'Bluish' -Level: 26 -HP: 125 -Type(s): Electric -Weakness: Ground -Moves: Tackle, Spark, Hidden Power -Items: None Bluish is part of TeamHighlight, the evil gang who's after one thing, world domination. Bluish is usually treated as shit, but because he's part from TeamHighlight he'll do anything to stay by their side. -- 11- Vinquil Forest This forest is the 2nd dungeon you'll find in game. It can be a little annoying judging by the wild Pokemon appearance rate. It is strongly recommended that you are level 25 or above and have the moves Bite and Ember, and keep Ember for some time. Bite will be used in this dungeon. You may forget Bubble at any time since you are able to get it again. So, we begin this dungeon. Follow the north path, go west, north blah blah.. You will find a door to your right which you can't open yet. Keep going North. You will eventually find another door. Go north and you'll find a chest with a key inside. Open the door. You will see another door South. Go right and you'll have to paths, one to your North and one East. Go North and you will find another chest with a key. Now, you can choose to go East, where you will find an optional mini-boss, a Mewtwo, and its really funny going there because you will find TeamHighlight and they will start making fun of Bluish.. Anyway. Optional Mini-Boss: -Name: Mewtwo -Level: 28 -HP: 140 -Type(s): Psychic -Weakness: Dark -Items: None If you chose to battle Mewtwo, you will find another key after the battle. Go left, to the door you haven't opened yet to your South. You will see another door quickly to your left. You will find a chest with 2 Hyper Potions and 3 Potions. Get out of that room and carefully go South. Carefully, because you may jump to the beginning of the dungeon by mistake. You will find a path to your right, go there and keep walking. You will then find two paths, one to your right and one down. Go to your right if to find another key. Go south and you will find two paths again, one to your right and one down. Go down and your HP will be restored between two trees. At this point you should prepare for a battle with the boss of this place. -Name: Gargoza -Level: Moderate -HP: 550 -Type(s): Flying,Dragon -Weakness: Electric, Ice(x4), Fire -Inmunities: Ground -Moves: Toxic, Psychic, Tail Slam -Items: Full Restore Gargoza's Toxic can be really annoying considering you will have nothing to heal it with and the HP Gargoza has. You will need a couple of SuperPotions and/or HyperPotions if you can buy some. Tail Slam has high critical-hit ratio, and that's annoying as well. After defeating Gargoza get the chest to your South where you'll find a Boat Ticket. -- 12- Route 703 and tireish training If you still have Vinquil Forest keys now is the time to go back and use them, unless you want to do it later. Go to the path to your East from where you fought Gargoza. Go South and you will find a boat. Now that you have your Boat Ticket you will be able to travel to route 703. We're at route 703. If you go to the Pokecenter you will find Malote and he will tell you that he's worried because his friend, Kamal, is missing. Time to visit some Pokemom you don't even know. Go visit the houses you see there at route 703. You will receive the TM002 Bubblebeam from a Tentacruel. The cave to your West allows you easy access to route 702, but you need the Hidden Machine surf for that. Anyway, go South and follow the path. Wild Pokemon are around level 35, so I strongly recommend that you go back to Vinquil Forest to train and get to around that level. Then come back to route 703. -Route 703 secret: you can find the TM that contains Protect here at route 703. If you follow south route 703 you will find a pond with a rock, 2 trees and some grass. Stand at the left side of the pond and walk left. Look for a tree where you can walk through. If you find it, keep following the secret path until you find the chest that contains the TM Protect. -- 13- Meeting Merlin 3rd Time You will find your rival if you keep walking East on route 703. -Name: Merlin -Level: Unknown -HP: 90 -Type(s): None -Weakness: None -Moves: Magnitude, HiddenPower, Bite, Thundershock -Items: None This may be a hard battle if you are not well prepared. His high strength may kill you if you're hit with a critical-hit. So, get well prepared with some Hyper Potions. -- 14- TeamHighlight Mansion Quest Heal your HM after the battle against Merlin and head to that mansion to your north. We're at the TeamHighlight mansion. Here you will not find any wild random Pokemon, instead, there are Pokemon in different locations that will battle you. Those Pokemon are mostly weak against Electric-type moves, so, make sure you already know Thundershock. We're at the entrance of the mansion. You will see stairs to your front and a Blastoise to your left. If you go right you will find a Poliwhirl and a chest with 7,000 BPs. It is an optional path so if you want the 7,000 BPs go right. Next, go to your left and fight Blastoise. Go through the door and you will fight a Noctowl. You will then exit the mansion through the back door. You will find a Poliwhirl to your left and a Wartotle to your right, and two chest with each one of them. The chest to your right has 7,500 BPs and the chest to your left has a key. Get the key and go back inside the mansion. Go to the entrance of the mansion where the stairs are. Go upstairs and if you go foward you will battle a Blastoise and find two chests, one of them is empty and the other one has 5,000 BPs, meaning that this room is optional. Go to the room to your left where you need to use the key. Battle the Blaziken and then you will find two chests, one with 2 HyperPotions and the other one with a key. Get out of the room and go East where you will find Bluish. He will only battle you after you make the Blaziken faint. -Name: ''Bluish'' -Level: 37 -HP: 195 -Type(s): Electric -Weakness: Ground -Moves: Thunderbolt, HiddenPower, Spark, Tackle -Items: None Ok, so, you've beaten Bluish. Go East and your HP will be restored between the wall and a desk. Open the door and you will have a chat with TeamHighlight. After that you will battle the mansion's boss. -Name: RareScar Clone -Level: Difficult -HP: 400 -Type(s): None -Weakness: None -Moves: Confuse Ray, Tackle, Thunder, Bubble -Items: RareCandy RareScar Clone's battle can be, again, annoying. His Confuse Ray is annoying, really annoying. Have a couple of Hyper Potions, be around level 38-40 and you'll be fine. Try to keep your HP above half of max hp. -- 15- 2nd GYM Beat RareScar Clone and then you will be able to face Kamal and his GYM. Exit the mansion, go back to the West route 703 town, heal yourself and enter the GYM. Kamal's GYM is all about water, so, make sure to bring your Thundershock! -Name: Wartotle Robert -Level: 34 -HP: 91 -Type(s): Water -Weakness: Electric -Items: None -Name: Wartotle Benny -Level: 35 -HP: 93 -Type(s): Water -Weakness: Electric -Items: None -Name: Poliwhirl Benzon -Level: 36 -HP: 110 -Type(s): Water -Weakness: Electric -Items: None -Name: Blastoise Berto -Level: 34 -HP: 100 -Type(s): Water -Weakness: Electric -Items: None -Name: GYM Leader Swampert Kamal -Level: 40 -HP: 100 -Type(s): Water/Ground -Inmunity: Electric -Items: None Kamal's battle can be long fight. Like Malote, its Defense depends on your current Strength. He'll sure do a little more damage than you. He has no weakness, so, keep using a move like Magnitude. Bring a couple of HyperPotions and you'll be just fine. You will receive Kamal's badge and TM010 Strength. -- 16- Where's Surf? Now that I can use the move Surf, where the hell is it? Well, is as simple as exploring JUST A LITTLE! Go where the mansion is and keep walking East. You will arrive to route 704. Ah, the peaceful sound of route704's music! Anyway, to the right side of the Pokecenter you will find two houses, the 2nd house will have the chest containing the HiddenMachine Surf, that easy guys! -- 17- Hempha Cave Dungeon 1st Visit Go to the Boat North of route 704 and it will take you to Hempha Cave. Now, you probably think this is too easy.. well, it isn't. Wild Pokemon here are around level 48-50, so, you better go to route 703 to train, then come back to Hempha. You will find Pokemon like Golem, Steelix, Golbat and Dolphan. Steelix has an extreamly high defense and Golem may have Explosion. So you know which Golem has Explosion or not without it using the move check its level. Only level 50 Golem has Explosion. So, we're at Hempha's entrance. Walk East, then you will have to walk North. You will find a door to your left.. since you have no key ignore it and keep going north. You will find two paths, one to your left and one to your right. Go right. You will see a chest in a place where you need Rock Climb. You will not be able to get it yet. That chest contains a RareCandy. You will find two more chest you can actually get, both contain keys. Go down and then go to the door you saw to your left, remember? Anyway, open the door and you will find a second door, go through it and go upstairs. In this room you'll need to surf your way out of the cave. You'll arrive to route 705. -- 18- Route 705 Chest You'll need to be around level 50 for this route and if you have ember, much better. Follow the path and you will find a frozen pond and two rocks. Walk to the other side of the pond and you'll find a chest with 50,000 BPs on it. -- 19- Route 706 Keys Go East and you'll find a Pokecenter, a GYM and a house. GYM will be closed for the moment. The house has nothing but three Pokemon arguing about route 705's cold. Go North and you'll find a small cave. Use the cave to get to route 706. From the cave's exit at route 706, walk far left and then walk North to find a chest with a key. From there walk far right and then North. You will find another chest, this time with 10,000 BPs. Keep going North and you will find another chest with a key surrounded by grass. Get out from the grass and go West, you will find a door North. Go through it. You will eventually arrive to route 707 and finding another door. Go through it and keep following the path. -- 20- Icy History Cave At route 707, you will find a cave at the end of the path. Inside you will find Sapherom, TeamHighlight's Boss. After a long talk with him he will battle you. I recommend you to be around level 50-55 for this battle, and have a few HyperPotions. -Name: Sapherom -Level: Unknown -HP: 950 -Type(s): None -Weakness: None -Moves: Critical Sphere, Electroshock, HiddenPower, Blizzard -Items: 55,000 BPs Many people use the "technic" of attack n' heal for this boss battle. If you have Protect use the Protect Trick (go to Protect Trick for more information). Electroshock is its strongest move. Critical Sphere has high critical-hit ratio, so be careful. Try having your HP above half of max hp. -- 21- 3rd GYM After the battle against Sapherom, go back to route 705. Now you will be able to face the GYM. One thing about this GYM is that it has no more Pokemon to battle with but the Leader. -Name: GYM Leader Suicune Demini -Level: Moderate -HP: 230 -Type(s): Water -Inmunity: Electric -Items: None Long battle because of its defense. Have a couple of Hyper Potions and Thundershock. Spam Thundershock until you end the battle. You will then receive the Demini Badge and TM017 Blizzard, which I don't recommend you to learn yet. -- 22- Hempha Cave Dungeon 2nd Visit Exit the GYM, restore your HP at Pokecenter and go back to Hempha Cave. Use Surf again, go through the stairs, go through both doors and head North. Then, instead of going right this time go left. You will find stairs to the far West side of that hall. Go upstairs. You will need to surf to the other side to find a chest containing the HiddenMachine RockClimb. Use surf to go back to the stairs. Carefully, start walking South from the stairs. You will be jumping your way down. You will find a path to your right and you will have to use RockClimb. Use Rock Climb and you will find 2 chests: one has a Full Restore and the other one has a Hyper Potion. Then, go upstairs. Follow the path all the way up and you will find Bluish.. once again he will fight you. You will need to be around level 60 to fight him. Spam Magnitude! -Name: '''Bluish''' -Level: 59 -HP: 421 -Type(s): Electric -Weakness: Ground -Moves: Thunderbolt, HiddenPower, Slash, Thunder -Items: None Bluish's move Slash has high critical-hit ratio. Try having your HP above half of max HP. After Bluish's battle, go east and use surf. There's a chest that has 55,000 BPs. Go back up and you will heal your HP between both kangaskan statues. This is the time to learn Blizzard! Walk up and Hempha's boss will attack you. -Name: Umlario -Level: Moderate -HP: 1250 -Type(s): Dragon, Dark -Weakness: Ice, Dragon -Moves: Dragon Claw, Hypnosis, Dragonbreath, Faint Attack -Items: RareCandy -- 23- Pixel World Looping Dungeon Ok, we've killed Umlario. Heal yourself and head North. You will find a long-way pair of stairs North, go upstairs. In the next room, Angel Ray will appear and will tell you that he wants to fight you, but he won't.. at least not yet! You will then need to stand on those blue squares to be transported to Pixel World. As soon as you get there you will notice why it is called Pixel World. Anyway, if you walk north you find a hall path to your right. If you go start walking to that hall path you will be walking forever with no end for the path. So, go west and keep walking where there's like a gray grass. Note that from this point Wild Missingno may appear to battle you. They will use weird attacks that will probably not affect you that much. They may be killed in one hit but they dont give many EXPs. You can't run from their battles but their appearance rate is really low. If you keep following the path you will find a couple of tombs. From this point it is useless to choose another route from the one you'll be reading here, unless you want to end up in infinit loops or arriving to the same place. Keep going North and you will find two tombs together with two kangaskan statues on top. Keep going North. At the end of the hall you fill find two paths, one to your left and one to your right. Go left, then go up. Then, again, you'll find two paths, take the one to your left and follow the path. You will go down, then left, then up. Stop right there to prepare yourself for a boss battle. Buy a couple of Hyper Potions and heal yourself. I recommend you to be around level 60 - 65 at this point. -Name: Angel Ray -Level: Hard -HP: 2000 -Type(s): Normal, Flying -Weakness: Ice, Electric -Inmunities: Ground -Moves: Dragon Claw, Steel Wing, Aerial Ace, Wing Attack -Items: 60,000 BPs Angel Ray has Critical Hallation ability. You'll notice it says so when you start the battle. Critical Hallation takes place when he does a critical hit to you. It will take all your HP to 1 no matter what. But, if your HP is 1 it will do 0 damage. Also, his ability will protect him from Critical Hits. It may say you critical hit him but it won't do the damage of a critical hit. So, we've killed Angel Ray. Walk North and you'll be transported like to another dimension. Sapherom will talk to you even tho he will not be near the place, or something. Walk North and your HP will be restored.. you thought Angel Ray was the only boss? Guess again! Walk North and another boss will attack you. -Name: Giratina -Level: Moderate -HP: 350 -Type(s): Dragon, Ghost, Dark -Weakness: Dark, Ice -Inmunities: Ground -Moves: Aura Sphere, Dragonbreath, Ominous Wind, Ancient Power -Items: None Giratina has a really high defense, so I suggest you have a couple of Hyper Potions. Keep using Blizzard and Hyper Potions until you kill it. If you have Crunch much better. -- 24- Sapherom Last Stand After you defeat Giratina, Sapherom will yell at you. Then, you have to walk out of there. Go back to Hempha cave and be prepared because Sapherom will battle you as soon as you get to Hempha stairs. -Name: Sapherom -Level: Unknown -HP: 1200 -Type(s): Unknown -Weakness: None -Moves: Critical Sphere, HiddenPower+, Electroshock, Ominous Wind -Items: None This is the 2nd and last battle you will have with Sapherom. He is extreamly mad because you destroyed his source of power, Giratina. Now he has your weakness, which is Hidden Power+. It does super effective to you, and if you are hit with a critical hit Hidden Power+ you're dead. So, try keeping your HP above half of max HP and kill Sapherom as fast as you can. -- 25- 4th GYM When you defeat Sapherom he will say that he failed and he's be compleatly defeated. Go downstairs and you will find an exit SouthWest. You'll be now at route 708. Walk West and you will find a Pokecenter, blocked houses and a GYM. Restore your health and head to the GYM, which is the last one. I recommend you to be around level 68 to 72 for this GYM. -Name: Marowak Jasmine -Level: 272 -HP: 47 -Type(s): Ground -Weakness: Water, Ice -Inmunity: Electric -Items: None -Name: Dragonite Raphael -Level: 270 -HP: 47 -Type(s): Dragon, Flying -Weakness: Dragon, Ice -Inmunity: Ground -Items: None -Name: Ursaring Miguel -Level: 276 -HP: 47 -Type(s): Normal -Weakness: None -Inmunity: Ghost -Items: None -Name: Aggron Joef -Level: 71 -HP: 280 -Type(s): Water, Steel -Weakness: Ground -Items: None -Name: GYM Leader Merlin -Level: Difficult -HP: 250 -Type(s): None -Weakness: None -Items: EXP Bank ID So, after Merlin's battle you will receive the Merlin badge, the EXP Bank ID, and one of the following TMs: FireBlast or Thunder. He gives them randomly so good luck with what you want. -- 26- Where is HM Fly? On route 708, walk South from GYM and eventually you'll find a house to your left. Go inside the house and talk to the Pokemon. It will teach you the HiddenMachine Fly. To Fly, in case you've missed the explanation, go to your Commands tab and click Fly. -- 27- Time to Train Now, you'll have to train to at least level 80 if you want to go to the Victory Road cave. I recommend you to train at Hempha Cave or routes 706/707. You can also PvP train at Tierra Colosseum. Train with high level players for EXPs. -- 28- Victory Road dungeon Ok so, you've reached level 80! You're finally qualified to go to the Victory Road cave. I recommend you to be level 88 or above but if you think you're ready just go ahead. To find the Victory Road cave fly to route702. Walk to where Merlin is at route702. From that point walk West. You'll find like a lake to your North. Use surf and go to the other side of the lake. You'll see Victory Road ahead. You can only enter the Victory Road if you are level 80 or above and if you have all 4 badges. Ok, we're at Victory Road's entrance. Victory Road random wild Pokemon encounter is really high, do it's going to be a little annoying. If you go straight foward you will find a pond with a chest having 55,000 BPs, so going straight is optional. To your left there's a key door that leads you to a loooong walk to a chest containing a Perfect Speed, so, again, its optional... but if you want the key lets look for it. Go right, and go through the stairs North, then go right and walk between two vertical lines of rocks. Keep walking until you see a place where you need to use Rock Climb. You'll find a chest there with a key. Go back and if you want to open that one door that leads you to the Perfect speed go ahead. Anyway, go where you found both vertical lines of rocks and start walking North. You'll see two big paths, one to your right and one North... keep walking North. You'll find water ahead, walk right (you can't surf here). You will see a bridge, cross it and then head West. Keep walking West and eventually you'll see a place where you need to use RockClimb. There's a chest with a key. Go back to where the bridge is and walk far East. Then, when you start seeying rocks around start walking South. You'll see a place where you need to use RockClimb. Walk South, open the next door you'll see and go through it. You'll arrive to another room where there's water where you can actually surf. You will have your HP healed in preparation for Victory Road's boss. -Name: Molyrolados -Level: Moderate -HP: 2200 -Type(s): Water -Weakness: Electric -Moves: HydroPump, Bubblebeam, Slam, HiddenPower -Items: 120,000 BPs This boss raises its defense every turn, but don't worry, it has a limit. Molyrolados has high Strength, so be careful. Bring a couple of HyperPotions and you'll be ok. -- 29- Meeting Merlin 5th Time You're finished with Molyrolados. Surf to the other side of the water and you're out of Victory Road, arriving to the Pokemon League. Heal your HP and prepare for the most intense battle you could've ever had against Merlin. Go West and you'll find him and he will give you a long talk, then he will battle you. I recommend that you are level 98 - 100 for this battle. -Name: 'Merlin' -Level: Unknown -HP: 342 -Type(s): None -Weakness: None -Moves: Earth Power, HiddenPower+, Shadowball, Thunderbolt -Items: None There's nothing much I can't say about this battle. Buy tons of HyperPotion, heal a lot. Use the "Attack N' Heal Technic" and if you have Protect so you can use its trick, better. And good luck! -- 30- Pokemon League After the battle against Merlin you will face the Elite4 and Pokemon League Champion. I recommend you to be level 100. Also, Full Health has been banned for elite 4. Once you start walking upstairs there's no turning back and if you lose you will have to start all over. All elite4, including the champion, have their defenses and strength set to your level, but still is worth being level 100 cause your defense is needed. -Name: Mentador -Level: 100 -HP: 350 -Type(s): Ghost -Weakness: Dark, Ghost -Inmunity: Ground -Items: None -Name: Vyaja -Level: 100 -HP: 350 -Type(s): Ghost, Dark -Weakness: None -Items: None -Name: Angelica -Level: 100 -HP: 350 -Type(s): Ice, Ghost -Weakness: Ghost, Dark, Fire -Name: Ventor -Level: 100 -HP: 350 -Type(s): Ghost, Dark -Weakness: None -Items: None Angelica can be a pain in the butt because of its Hypnosis, just like Umlario. Try having Full Restores so you can cure your sleep status. Vyaja's the easiest even tho it has no weakness, but its defense's low. Now, you've beaten the elite 4! Ok, now, for the hard part... the Champion. Buy some Hyper Potions, heal yourself and go. Good luck! -Name: Pkmn League Champion Goliath -Level: 100 -HP: 325 -Type(s): None -Weakness: None -Items: None -Healing items: Full Restore Goliath has Critical Denial ability, which means critical-hit ratio for both of you is reduced to 1.25%, which is good for you. Goliath deals a lot of damage and if by any chance he critical hits you with Electroshock he may kill in one hit. Also, when you think you've won he uses a Full Restore.. and that my friends, its annoying. Keep healing, keep attacking... the battle will be long but you'll win... eventually. Bug: When Goliath uses his Full Restore the HP bars sometimes glitch. Don't worry, keep attacking and checking your HP from your Status bar. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -Secrets n' Tricks: -- Where to find Protect TM: (Check "Route 703 secret" under "12- Route 703 and tireish training") -- Where to find GigaImpact TM: Go to TeamHighlight Mansion's backyard. Stand in front of the chest where the Poliwhirl is and walk left. Follow the secret path until you get to the North area of the place. Walk North then start walking East following the path and you will be able to find another secret path through the trees. Keep walking East and you will end walking on EXP Bank's roof. You will find a chest there containing the TM GigaImpact. -- The Protect Trick If you haven't got TM Protect yet go to "Where to find Protect TM" above. This is a very usefull, so if you decide to learn Protect this is the only usefull way to take advantage of it. If you want to restore your Health with an item in battle, instead of using the item use Protect first. "You're suppoused to know" that Protect, obviously, protects you from the next attack move the enemy uses against you. Anyways, well, in this game Protect stays protecting you until you actually use an attack move. So, when you use you item you will STILL BE PROTECTED. This is really cool because when you normally restore your HP you get attacked in the same turn and that's horrible. So, there you go, the Protect Trick! Note: the Protect Trick is only effective in normal mode, you can't use it in PvP. -- EXP Bank and ID: Every time you don't have the badge that allows you to level up, those EXPs are not lost. Instead, they are sent to the EXP Bank for later use. But, you need a special ID to get those EXPs from the EXP Bank. Unfortunately, the EXP Bank ID is given to you after you finish the 4th GYM. -- Changing your Icon: This is no trick but its worth posting about it. If you want to change your icon you have two options. One of the options is to click on your on-screen ICON button and select an icon from the list. For the other option you must have icon DMI format files. For this, go to a Pokecenter, stand in front of the PC and click A. Choose to custumize your icon and an ICON tab will appear. Now you will be able to customize both your overworld and battle icons. -- Where to find Hypnosis TM This move is really hard to get since it requires lots of pacience, lots of experience, good preparations and lots of time. You need to be at least level 75 even tho at that level you will not be able to do it. You also need to have all 4 badges. I recommend you to be at least level 90 minimun. Go to route 702 and look for the Event House and play the FfP event. FfP is a quest where you have to beat all bosses and mini bosses found in game. They are a lot stronger than before and have lots of HP. Like in story mode, you can choose whether you want to fight Mewtwo or not, in this case, if you want a chance to have Hypnosis you will have to defeat Mewtwo. Mewtwo can be found after beating Bluish for the first time by taking the South route to your right. So, after you defeat Mewtwo you will keep fighting all bosses and mini-bosses. The last one will be Sapherom. Its an extreamly hard battle and he's really cheap sometimes spamming HiddenPower+ and critical hits and etc. After the battle against Sapherom you will receive some items and between those items you will receive a random TM.. if you're lucky you will receive TM Hypnosis. That's how hard it is to get Hypnosis. There it is, good luck getting Hypnosis! -- China Berry Island: There's an island where you may find a couple of China Berries, but nothing else. Go to TeamHighlight mansion's backyard. Stand in front of the left chest where the Poliwhirl is and start walking left. Follow the secret path and get to the other side. Walk North and you'll find two horizontal lines of rocks. Walk between the lines of rocks and the first tree you see North after the upper line of rocks has no density. Walk over the tree and walk left, keep walking left and you'll walk over some other trees, then walk north and you'll face the water. Walk all the way East and then walk South to walk over the tree. Then walk East again. Go North and you'll be able to surf. Surf to the other side and you'll see an island, well, thats not China Berry Island. Walk all the way north facing the water, then walk right and you'll find a secret path over the water. Follow the path and you'll eventually arrive to China Berry Island. There's nothing more than just China Berries, or if there's not, other players may have picked them up. -- Secret Codes: There's a verb under Commands Tab that's called Code. The game doesn't tell you what it is about. Well, it doesn't help much but its fun. Here's a list of working codes: 12345678 87654321 66666666 11111111 88888888 22222222 22222223 22222224 55489462 84569872 58484599 58888888 56489752 Most of the codes are about movies, games and tv shows lines. There's just around 2 or 3 little secrets. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -Game Mechanics: -- Critical Hit: These are random moments where the attack move used does double damage. A normal move has 6% chances of doing a critical hit. There are a couple of other moves that have high critical-hit ratio, those moves have 7% chances of doing a critical hit. -- Super Effective: These are moments when the weakness is used againt a Pokemon. Super effective moves deal double the damage and are more effective if a critical hit takes place at the same time, dealing x4, and sometimes even x6 of damage. -- Speed Priority: What we mean by speed priority is who attacks first in a battle. In this game YOU will be able to attack first as soon as you choose your attack move. Meaning, you will always go first in normal story mode. Many bosses have the ability of attacking as soon as the battle begins. This ability is revealed to be called First Desicion on Pokemon Palladium (PH: serie 2). -- Enemy Defense Based on your Strength: What the title means is that the enemy's defense is based on the current strength you have. For example, in the last battle with Merlin (at Pokemon League) he has his defense based on your strength. So, even when you level up you'll notice you will do "almost" the same damage, but, MOST of the times you'll do the same damage. That's how it works. Not all bosses and special enemies have this, but there's a few. Here's a list of enemies that have this ability and their locations: Rypherior Malote/1st GYM Swampert Kamal/2nd GYM Suicune Demini/3rd GYM Merlin 4th Battle/4th GYM Molyrodaros/Victory Road Merlin 5th Battle/Pokemon League Elite 4/Pokemon League Champion/Pokemon League -- Damage Calculation: Is simple to know how much damage you're going to be doing, as long as you know both Pokemon Strength and Defense. When it comes to battle damage calculation is as simple as: USER's STRENGTH + USER's MOVE POWER - FOE's DEFENSE. USER's MOVE POWER? In this game every move has a power, which is a number between -10 to +20. For example the move Swift has +3 power but Tackle has +0 power. GigaImpact damage calculation deals like this: USER's STRENGHT * 2 - USER's DEFENSE - (USER's DEFENSE/2) -- Individual Values (IV): Every player wins different values in Strengh, Defense and PvP Speed everytime he/she levels up. These are called IVs. IVs are given to you when you create your file at the beginning of the game. IVs for Strength are from 1 to 3, for Defense are from 0 - 2 and for PvP Speed are from 5 - 30. Let's say your Strength's IV is 3, Defense's IV is 1 and your PvP Speed's IV is 25, meaning when you level up your stats will increase around that number. It may increase one below and one above that number, and even the same number. Also, there's no way of knowing one's IVs, and IVs are the calculation of different variables for each stat. -- Wild Pokemon Random Rate: The wild Pokemon appearance uses a looped command proc that takes place when you stand on the grass. It's a different system that most RPG random encounter system because even if you're just standing in grass, a random battle may take place. The appearance rate percentage is different from place to place. Sometimes dungeons have a higher appearance rate than routes. For example, the Victory Road cave is the dungeon with higher appearance rate in game, and Pixel World the lowest. So, depending the area you are is the wild Pokemon random rate you'll get.
