Something To Crow About!

We are so glad you have come to check out our site and learn about our birds!

A little about us...I am a mom to four wonderful children. That is how this obsession...er...ummm...I mean, hobby ;o) began. We never had "regular" pets and I have wanted chickens as long as I could remember. So I decided that was the perfect solution to the kids asking for a pet - chickens, right?! Yeah, I know, everyone else looks at me like I'm crazy when I say that, too! It's only the fellow obsessed...uh...I mean chicken owners that get that gleam in their eyes of total understanding!

We live in the beautiful foothills of N. Carolina. My kids are 17 months, 4 1/2, 7 and 9. The older two, especially, help so much with the care and feeding of the chickens. This "hobby" began with silkies. Well, we made the mistake of going to a bird show early on in this and saw so many other breeds that we just had to have! LOL We currently keep silkies (mostly buff, but will possibly be adding a few more colors by Spring, depending on how the incubation goes this month!), bantam cochins (in multiple colors), bantam white crested black polish & standard buff laced polish.

We will be offering hatching eggs, chicks and birds of various ages off and on. We do not have a lot of property and do not have lots and lots of birds so it will be sporadic. This is hobby/pets for us first and foremost! Check back often and drop us an e-mail if you'd like us to contact you if we list any birds for sale in the future.
