Somerled Manor and all its many rooms is a social group for Role Players
to come together and share stories and gain friendships...
to share the many creative ideas in the art of role playing.

The halls of Somerled are filled with wonderfully talented people whose lives
promote a medieval adventurous epic style of role playing.
The role playing done within the Manor and on the Manor grounds is meant purely for pleasure...
fun...enjoyment and while our rules are light they are in place for the purpose of maintaining order.
To become a full member you must agree to and play by these rules to ensure
the fun atmosphere continues to live on within our family...
as well as to ensure we all have fun and to see to the longevity of our home.
The Manor Laws can and will be change or amended as the need arises,
without notification or discussion to meet the needs of the family.
Any member of the manor can submit a proposed new law or
rule of play in writing to the Queen for consideration.

~General Behavior~
as so written by the Queen of Somerled

Respect should always be shown for your Queen, the Royal Family and the Queen’s Council.
Never disrespect their names or that of the Family of Somerled Manor.

Always behave, whether in the realm or elsewhere, in a manner befitting a member of Somerled Manor.
Keep in mind always that Somerled is a realm of light and peace and never should one act out of anger or frustration.

Greet all guests of the Manor with respect, courtesy and attentiveness; keeping in mind we were all new once.

Always regard your position with a serious attitude, following through to the best of your ability
on all duties and tasked whether assigned or for which you have volunteered.
Never abuse the authority of your position by using it as a power over another.

Do not undermine the authority of the Queen, her council or that of the division leaders.

At all times loyalty should be shown for Somerled and our members; protecting them with your life.

All manor business, including names of aliases, hidden powers or anything that is not in the public domain, is to be regarded
as privileged information and kept confidential unless prior permission is given.
As a general rule, unless it is present in a character's profile or web page, it is not public knowledge.

As this is a role-playing organization, OOC is discouraged, keep mun talk, whenever possible, confined to IM conversations.

All members and guests alike will place TQ0S in their lifescrolls. (the O being a zero)

If there is a dispute between members the laws of Arbitration will be put in effect.

~Message Board Rules~
as so written by the Queen of Somerled

The Message board plays a strong role in our manor's life but should not take the place of real time play in our rooms.
The MB is where stories are told, ideas are shared and those whom have the busiest of schedules can come to participate.
We encourage Full Membership participation. One liners, bad language, explicate behavior are frowned upon, keep it PG13!!
If you need assistance or guidance ASK! Never make a post in anger as it will only bring you headaches.
All AOL TOS Guidelines do apply here. If you need further help and/or instruction go to keyword; Gamers Forum.

~Garrison Laws~
as so written by the Queen of Somerled

The garrison's members are known as soldiers, guards and troops
with officers and lower rankers amongst them.
There is a structured set of ranking in the Garrison and all Garrison members
must be aware of the troops under his command as well as all officers.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The primary duty of all members of the Garrison is protection of
Somerled's people from the Queen down to the lowliest peasant.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Soldiers are expected to fight in an aggressive or defensive manner
against outside aggression and in the state of war.
To refuse this duty is tantamount to treason of Somerled.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One whom is accused of treason or disobeying an order from a ranking officer
will be able to appeal his, her or its case before the Queen's Council.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For matters of rank, all troops obey officers first,
Council secondly unless the Queen says otherwise.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All soldiers have the option of refusing care or treatment from a healer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All troops are expected to maintain good fighting shape
at all times when un injured or wounded.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The acquisition of loot, booty or treasure from enemies is encouraged
as long as it does not interfere with the duties above.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There will be no stealing of property from any Somerled citizen
nor non-combatant citizens of enemy nations.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Half of all loot shall go to Somerled's coffers.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stealing from another soldier of Somerled is strictly forbidden.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There shall be no sexuality expressed within any barracks or prison structure
nor shall there be any sexuality expressed while on a guard shift or other specific duty
unless so directed by the Queen or the High Commander of the Division with the purpose of fulfilling a task.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Loyalty among the troops is of high regard and is encouraged amongst officers and men.
Comaraderie and honor is to be encouraged, where duty will not lapse.
This loyalty to garrison does not outweigh loyalty to Somerled.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fulfillment of punishment of transgressors is the responsibility of the High Commander,
his second and the Marshall of the Harbor Town in that order.
Prisoners in the meantime are to be given prison time until seen to individually.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All troops have full accord to defending themselves and Somerled
at any and all times with full measure of force up to and including death.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Any breach of any duty by any soldier or officer will be investigated
by officers higher up the chain of command.
The Commander and his second will be investigated by the Queen's Council.
~Mystic Laws~
Laws for Healers
as so written by Cayley Seda
Should a healer be faced with bodily injury, they are allowed to defend themselves.
Language should always be monitored in the presence of those in a healer's care.
Healers are only allowed to give care, after expressed permission has been received.
Permission can be given by the person injured, or by a guardian.
All Healers will follow the direction of either a Head Mystic or Priestess.
Should a Head Healer not be available upon a battlefield or battle situation.
Healers must conduct themselves in a manner that will not be shameful to the Queendom.
will be properly dealt with in a manner decided by the Queen or the Queen's Council.
If a Healer is found guilty of a transgression they will receive at least a single probation from service.
After the first warning, the disciplinary action will be at the Queen or the Queen's Council's discretion.
