Before these crowded streets

A little about me...

Hi, my name is Josh and I'm the Percussion Instructor at Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, WV and the Director of Percussion at Bridgeport High School in Bridgeport, WV. I enjoy most types of music and also the history behind them. I also enjoy reading...about pretty much anything. The marimba you see in the picture to the left is my new personal marimba that I bought in Deptember 2006. It is a Musser 5.0 Concert Grand Rosewood marimba.

My favorite composer is Claude Debussy. I am also a big fan of J.S. Bach and George Gershwin. I plan to teach high school (or college) level music after graduation and I would also like to open my own percussion studio some day. I am on my way to becoming a solo marimbist. Drum Coprs. has also played a very big part in my life as well. To all my Bluecoat fans out there...Bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeee!

I have a wonderful wife, Sarah, who is a music teacher in Franklin, WV. She has been teaching for 5 years now. We got married on June 23rd, 2007 in Philippi, WV (the place were we met). We went to Mexico, near the Myan Ruins, for our honeymoon!

I am a proud brother of the Pi Lambda Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc. If you would like to know any more about them you can click on the link to the left.

If you want to know anything else about me or just to talk, please feel free to email me or message me. Take care and have a great day! Solo de Gloria

Song of the week (song that is being played):
