Hello and welcome to Solitaire Stud. Abit of background on Solitaire Stud, our aim for breeding is to bring quality not the quantity. This is the reason why we don't have foals due every season. We breed when our mares have done what they can in the show ring and we have found the right stallion to compliment the mare. We could take months maybe years to find the right stallions as we like to make sure we can choose a close to prefect match. An example of this is Solitaires Shiraz. It took us over 2 years to find the right stallion for Solitaires Lady Jem. As from her we wanted something finer, yet nice. Something that had movement, and good legs. Also we wanted our colour, Pinto. Solitaires Shiraz has the legs, movement, fine ness and colour. We are over the moon on how she has turned out, and yet we waited to see how she finishes as she has a few more years of growing yet.
This is mainly a hobby, its not to make money and fame. Besides the horses, I volunteer my spare time to our Local Bush Fire Brigade. As i find fighting fires, not just an experience but rewarding. The thing about being apart of the brigade is your out there to help your community and when you do have a fire threaten your property, you know what steps to take to insure your house, family and live stock is safe.
