1.1 Thank you for choosing SOLARWYSE’s Solar Kettle-Thermos Flask (SK-TF).

How to Assemble the SK-TF
Fix the lateral leg stabilizer to the legs. |
Screw in the bolts on both the legs to the "O" ring, making sure that you have the washers in between the legs and the bolts. Do not over tighten bolts; leave enough space for "O" ring to move freely yet restraining lateral stabilizer from falling off. |
By loosening or tightening the screws on the "O" ring, insert the glass tube into the ring and secure the screw. DO NOT over-tighten the screws or bolts. Tighten bolts to "O" ring after having determined your desired angle of inclination (ideally matching the latitude you are situated) and point the bottom of the tube towards the Equator. Tie the nylon string to the cork and the solar vacuum tube. RINSE the glass tube, fill with water but leaving a space of at least 25mm from the cork. Cork the opening and leave the whole SK-TF in the sun for 1 to 2 hours. When steam appears, the water is ready to be used. By tilting the tube on its legs, carefully pour the hot water into a clean container. To double up as a Thermos Flask, simply cork the opening of the tube and the water will remain hot overnight for use in the morning even before the Sun is up. |
