Worlds Ugliest Dog
The Timbo is disappointed that a boxer mix, dog with a nasty under bite got the ugliest dog of the year taking it away from the reining champ, a Chinese Crested. I am partial to a Chinese Crested because we own one. Buddy would have been uglier if it were not for his father (a fly by night salesman). A miniature schnauzer I tell visitors that complain about our ugly dog.

Driving past the same area that a major bus accident happened last Friday I ponder. Hey, I was on this same part of the highway moments before 7 souls were lost to this stretch of highway 93 by the Western Brim of the Grand Canyon in a tour bus. Get you thinking about your eternal soul. Every soul is precious; God gave us opportunity to accept His Son Jesus. What a great life I have what true joy I have. Driving to Vegas is fun, I think happy thoughts and I write this poem;
Christians people out to be kind to one another

For is wrong and the world knows it's wiser
Why is the Christian Brother unfriendly with his brother?
For we have to depend on one another

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca.) will bring her “Kill the Children” economic stimulus plan to the floor of the House this week for a likely vote on Thursday. On ABC’s “This Week” last Sunday, Pelosi justified the inclusion of expanded federal funding for abortions as part of an economic stimulus plan on the grounds that reducing the number of children being born would help stimulate the economy.
Pelosi’s pronouncement rightly raised the ire of Congressman John Carter (R-Tx.), secretary of the House Republican Conference. “To attempt to stimulate the economy by killing babies is an atrocity,” Carter said, speaking for the millions of Americans who are shocked and outraged over this further slide into degeneracy on display by Democrat leadership. “To justify the killing of an unborn child for monetary gain is a monstrosity,” Carter added.

Warren praises Obama for inviting homosexual bishop

Rick Warren is applauding Barack Obama's decision to invite homosexual Episcopal bishop V. Gene Robinson to pray at an inauguration event next week in Washington, DC.
Christianity Today quotes a statement from Warren, who says "President-elect Obama has again demonstrated his genuine commitment to bringing all Americans of goodwill together in search of common ground. I applaud his desire to be the president of every citizen." Warren's comment came in the wake of a controversy over Obama's decision to invite Warren to give the invocation prayer at the swearing-in ceremony at next Tuesday's Presidential Inauguration.

to pray at one of the presidential inaugural events.

Robinson, who became the Episcopal Church's first openly homosexual bishop back in 2003, joined other homosexual activists and their supporters in condemning Obama for inviting Warren, saying "it was like a slap in the face."
Warren has received heavy criticism for openly supporting California's Proposition 8 last November, a voter intiative that amended the Golden State's constitution to define marriage as only between one man and one woman.
Obama eventually gave into the pressure over Warren and has invited Robinson to give a prayer at another inaugural event next week.
Robinson has said he will not use the Bible when praying, and states "I will be careful not to be especially Christian

Testimony: This is from a student who has heard us preaching at North Florida for the past three years. This student has always been supportive of our preaching and has kept in contact but I did not realize our preaching had made an influence on them until this past visit.
I would first like to thank you for coming to my campus for the past three years now and proclaiming the Word of God to me and my fellow students. Upon our first encounter three years ago, my understanding of “sin” was somewhat different than yours. I had always been a church-going religious man, but your message really struck me to find out if my viewpoint on sin was correct. I remember going home that night and pulling out my Bible to read the scriptures you quoted in the free speech area. At that specific moment, I realized that I had met a true disciple of Christ who was spreading the TRUTH about sin and God’s commandments. Your visit really inspired me to become a true Christian that the Bible commands us to be. During the week, I would be so eager to report back to the free speech area to learn more, listen, and ask questions. Your memorization of scripture and technique of dealing with non-believers inspired me to read the entire New Testament and spread the truth to my family/friends that had an incorrect view of sin and God’s commandments. Through your consistent visits to my campus the past three years I have had the motivation to continue reading the Bible and witnessing to many non-believers I encounter during my college career. Normally, we sit on 18th and Castro, and someone plays the guitar, and we all worship God. Sometimes a person will yell at us, or maybe a few. Sometimes people will ignore us. Sometimes people will let us pray with them. This time was not a normal night. It was the first time we¡¯d been back in the Castro to do our normal outreach since California Proposition 8, which defined marriage as ¡°one man with one woman,¡± was passed. We played the guitar and sang together and worshiped the Lord. After just singing and worshiping God for a while, Roger decided that we should all hold hands in a circle and continue singing. So we did. Someone (actually a person who came up and hugged and kissed some of us whom he knew from the past) convinced some people that we were there to protest against the ¡°No on 8¡å campaign. Then some guy who was dressed up like one of the sisters ¡ª The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is a group of men who dress up like nuns and call themselves the spiritual authority of the Castro ¡ª took a curtain-type thing (Which I think they use to curse people) and wrapped it around us. Then a crowd started gathering. We began to sing ¡°Amazing Grace,¡± and basically sang that song the whole night. (At some points we also sang ¡°Nothing but the Blood of Jesus¡± and ¡°Oh the Blood of Jesus.¡±) At first, they just shouted at us, using crude, rude, and foul language and calling us names like ¡°haters¡± and ¡°bigots.¡± Since it was a long night, I can¡¯t even begin to remember all of the things that were shouted and/or chanted at us. Then, they started throwing hot coffee, soda and alcohol on us and spitting (and maybe even peeing) on us. Then, a group of guys surrounded us with whistles, and blasted them inches away from our ears continually. Then, they started getting violent and started shoving us. At one point a man tried to steal one of our Bibles. Chrisdene noticed, so she walked up to him and said, ¡°Hey, that¡¯s not yours, can you please give it back?¡± He responded by hitting her on the head with the Bible, shoving her to the ground, and kicking her. I called the cops, and when they got there, they pulled her out of the circle and asked her if she wanted to press charges. She said, ¡°No, tell him I forgive him.¡± Afterwards, she didn¡¯t rejoin us in the circle, but she made friends with one of the people in the crowd, and really connected heart to heart. Roger got death threats. As the leader of our group, people looked him in the eyes and said, ¡°I am going to kill you,¡± and they were serious. A cop heard one of them, and confronted him. (This part is kinda¡¯ graphic, so you should skip the paragraph if you don¡¯t want to be offended.) It wasn¡¯t long before the violence turned to perversion. They were touching and grabbing me, and trying to shove things in my butt, and even trying to take off my pants - basically trying to molest me. I used one hand to hold my pants up, while I used the other arm to hold one of the girls. The guys huddled around all the girls, and protected them. Soon after, the cops came and stood between us and the mob. When it was getting more heated, the cops [said warnings] like, ¡°You guys should leave.¡± and Roger said ¡°We want to stay.¡± Someone tried to steal my backpack, but I tapped a cop on the shoulder and said ¡°Hey, that¡¯s my bag.¡± and he got it from him and gave it to me. Others weren¡¯t so lucky. Probably half our team got their jackets stolen. Eventually, as the crowd was getting more and more uncontrollable, the cops were afraid for our lives, so they escorted us to our van. (The cops were very nice to us from start to finish.) Our van was parked pretty far [away] because it was hard to find parking that day. As the cops escorted us, the mob followed us, until the cops formed a line and held off the people so we could drive away. We took the long way home, just in case anyone tried to follow us. When we got home, we prayed and sang more, and then prayed over each other. Please know my heart. All of what we do is for the Love of Jesus Christ, and the love for those in the Castro. The Bible says to love God, and then love people. We can only love because He loved us first. We can¡¯t hate the people because they are just broken and blinded by the spirit of this age. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against Principalities and Powers. It¡¯s not a political thing, we just love the people. This is the raw footage of the walk from 18th and Castro Street to our car. It was only the very tail end of the night and says that we were all about Prop 8¡ when in reality we had nothing to do with Prop 8 this night. | ||

California student, Ryan Dozier, decided to spend some time on campus sharing his faith and handing out tracts to fellow students, generating conversations about Christianity. Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) attorney Heather Hacker comments on the situation.
"A campus police officer came over and told him that if he continued to do so without a permit that he would be possibly expelled or arrested, and so Ryan stopped immediately," she explains.
Hacker says Dozier thought the case was closed, but he was apparently mistaken. "Three weeks later he got a certified letter from the president of the college stating that his actions were the subject of a campus crime report," she adds. "Last time I checked, sharing your faith on a public college campus was not a crime."
But the letter informed him he could face expulsion if he shared his faith on campus again. ADF filed suit, and a federal judge has ordered the college to suspend enforcement of its highly restricted free speech policies until the lawsuit is resolved
