Exams and Eclipse trailers

Posted by sofabedtry on June 9, 2010 at 4:04 AM Comments comments (0)

Hello y'all!

So, I've been kind of lazy in updates lately but believe me; I have an excuse! Exams have really been heating  up lately. I just had my English AS yesterday, Psychology the day before with a couple before half-term too. And I've got History part 2 tomorrow. Bleh…

But it means I have no school today! We don't have to come in for subjects once we've done those exams and I would have had Graphics, Psychology and English today. So I'm all good! :D

On top of that I've been in a tonne of craft swaps over at craftster,org which have been brilliant, and… I have mice in my bedroom. They woke me up at 4am this morning to run about. So I've had to put some poison out for the little guys and gals. I don't want to, but it's the only thing we haven't tried. Unless you want to lend us a cat, that is?

But the most important thing… It's less than two weeks till my birthday and 20 days till the release of Eclipse in the US! We have to wait a little longer, but it does mean that there have been some amazing trailers recently. I was kind of falling out with Twilight a little, but I'm mega-excited now. :) So…

Eclipse trailer one at Youtube:

And of course this week was also the release of Stephenie's Novella about Bree Tanner. You can read it online, (http://breetannerbook.libredigital.com/index.html) but I'm waiting for my birthday because I did ask for a hard copy. Apparently it's great though.

Oh, and check out "Broken Ride"! It's an amazing Calgarian band that's made it to round three of of Battle of the Bands in Canada. Google them!

Oh wow, Google chrome Spell check doesn't have 'Google'. Hehe, Idiots. :lol:

Well, TTFN!

Is there anything you would rather not receive because of religious affiliation?: Nope. I am Christian though, and I prefer not to have things with swear words. :)

Well that was fun! I hope she doesn't too much that I borrowed her template. Go check out her blog though, it's really funny: http://mandyannemurray.wordpress.com/

On a different note, did you have a good Easter? I did. Lots of chocolate, as you can tell from the title. I had a two week 'break' from school, though I've been in school nearly every day.

I'm probably going to the cinema tonight. The last time I went was with my cousins to see Twilight for the umpteenth time. Speaking of which; THE DVD IS OUT!

My sisters and I went to a the Twilight DVD midnight release party in London last Sunday and had a blast. I cosplayed as Rosalie and looked pretty good, if I do say so myself. :) I'll try and get some pics up soon.

Anyway, this is probably long enough. I also have to go wash the car so I'd better be going. :P

Poppies and Practice Papers

I have returned from the firey and dangerous realms of GCSE's? Well almost. I still have a tonne to do in June but my Maths is out of the way!

My Mum: "And you have your science on Thurday!"

Oh yeah? forgot about that! Since I last blogged I have done little beyond school work and umm? That's it really. =]

My friend had a great birthday by the way. In the end I got her a lot of little random things, like gum and a memory stick. I know, big range, right?

And I read a little of the midnight sun draft? i couldn't bring myslef to read the whole thing but what I read so far was really good! Personally i think the best fanfic Midnight sun out there is Alphie's "The lion and the lamb" (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2800923/1/The_Lion_and_the_Lamb)
It's pretty fantastic!

Anyhoo, Twilight Time!

So the biggest item of the moment? THE MOVIE!! I really cannot wait. The lucky Americans get theirs this coming Friday (only 2 days for them!) whilst the English have to wait until December 19th?

But to help me cope with the wait, I have joined the Twilight UK street-team! They send me stuff and I try to get it everywhere i can on the internet! Which isn;t too easy, although I've transferred a lot through word of mouth. I swear I've told like 20 people about the stuff I've been given. i even produced a little 'business card' for the news stuff and I've handed out quite a few of those?

But here you guys go. First off, we have the Paramore "Decode" music video! I personally think it is awesome. I love the lyrics and the rhythm. =]

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this content.

And also here's a link to an amazing competition! All you have to do is comment on the Twilight movie bebo page (http://www.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId=7906908281&TUUID=a85cae44-94a2-492c-8fa3-c9a12c681894) to answer the question; ?if you could ask Rob Pattinson one question, and one question only, what would it be??
If you win, you could get tickets to the UK press screening! Aieee! I
really want to win? But I can't think of a good question!

Any ideas? All I can think of is like "If you found out the world was going to blow up tomorrow, how would you spend the last day?" or "What's your favourite cheese?" or maybe even "Who was your first girlfriend?"

Not really very good?

Unfortunately I must go now. So I shall update again soon?

Well, Hello people!
Life recently has been hectic to say the least. School Holidays, Maths coursework, Visits to my father, Maths Coursework, Breaking Dawn release (!), Maths Coursework, the beginning of the new school year and er? did I mention Maths Coursework?

Well, this Saturday it will be my best friend's 16th birthday. Any ideas for presents? I'm stumped! Oh and I wrote back to my Swedish penfriend and tols her about this! Hey Daniella! Hehe?

Recently in the Twilight front:

Ok so a lot has happened. Here we go;

1. Breaking Dawn release!
2. New Twilight movie release date
3. Midnight Sun leak?
4. Bella's Birthday.

Right. First; Breaking Dawn. (SKIP IF YOU HAVE NOT READ. THERE WILL BE SPOILERS)

Oh my Carlisle, Edward, Emmett, Jasper, Jacob, Seth, Charlie?

Breaking Dawn was amahzing! I have to say I absolutely adored it allthough I can be charged with saying part-way through 'book two- Jake' that it was 'nothing better than a glorified fanfiction'and that I refused to read anymore. Of course as soon as my sisters offered to read it instead it was once again in my hands and being read. Overall, I couldn't have asked for more though it took quite a while for me to start enjoying it. =]

I did not expect Bella to get pregnant. SM implied that it was impossible the entire was through the book and so it was a big shock to actually see it in writing.

END SPOILER. YOU MAY READ MORE NOW!

I also got a leetle angry on 4th August. Let me tell you my story? Well my mum, sisters and I bundled ourselves of to London at 11 pm for a Midnight release party only to arrive at the shop and find it devoid of life. After hanging around for an hour or so we realised that nothing was happening so went home. Thankfully I convinced everyone to go to the 8am release party instead, at which we got Twilight themed car stickers and normal stickers as well as a Twilight movie poster because we were part of the first 150 in the queue.

2. New movie release date

Well I, for one, am incredibly pleased that Twilight was moved forward to November 21st in America. Especially as I was going to be forced to wait until January next year before I can see it, but now it comes out on the 19th of December! I'm so happy. Below I will list all the release dates I can find so far (Courtesy of the IMDB):

Country Date
Philippines 20 November 2008
Canada 21 November 2008
Mexico 21 November 2008
USA 21 November 2008
Czech Republic 27 November 2008
Australia 11 December 2008
Russia 11 December 2008
Italy 12 December 2008
South Korea 12 December 2008
UK 19 December 2008
Argentina 25 December 2008
New Zealand 25 December 2008
Singapore 25 December 2008
Netherlands 8 January 2009
Germany 22 January 2009
Switzerland 22 January 2009 (German speaking region)
Denmark 6 February 2009
Finland 13 February 2009
Norway 13 February 2009
Venezuela 13 February 2009
Sweden 6 March 2009

How is it that the Phillipines get it before the U.S? Anyone know? One thing I do  know is that I will be going to see Twilight on the 19th of December at least once. I may go twice. It all depends?

3. Midnight Sun leak?

I just want to say to all those people out there who downloaded the leak knowingly:

"You suck! Why can't you learn to respect the wishes of an author? Does Stephenie really mean that little to you? You only had to wait a year or so and you know what happens at the end anyway! Don't like you anymore. "

To those of you out there who (like me) wish to support Steph at this time, thank you. I will (somewhere) here is a banner to show your support for her;

4. Bella's Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BELLA! Have fun being eternally 18. As I present I will give you? some anti-venom! Yeah? I'm weird. Hope you did something to commemorate Bella's Birthday. I kind of forgot. I mean I knew, but I didn't go on the web all day. I did start reading "Wuthering Heights" in honour of Bella though. =]

I must be off now, I have a lot of homework to do, so I'll blog again later. But before I go I have a few Questions for you?

1. What did you think of Breaking Dawn? What did you do to celebrate the release?
2. Will you be reading the Misnight Sun Partial draft? I'm undecided?
3. Did you do anything to commemorate Bella's birthday?

Ciao!

Tchu?!

No wait? Tchu? means goodbye! In that case I'm off. See you!

Hehe, only joking I wouldn't do that to you guys! How are you all? I'm fine, thanks. Though I'm very tired and looking forward to summer holidays- only one day to go!

I decided, on Sunday, that I would go and buy a box of rubber bands. Why, you ask? Well I wanted a rubber band ball. I spent practically the whole of yesterday making it and now it keeps me amused because when you swivel it, there's this one bit tin the middle that makes it look hollow! It's amazing! And it keeps on distracting me?

This week in the land of Twilight:

I got very, very angry. Well first I was happy. Then I was morose. Now I'm just growling. Here's why;

I was walking down the road back home from work experience, when I felt some strange vibrations before the first six bars of 'That funky Musicology' by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen started blasting from my pocket. Embarrassed, I whipped my phone out and answered it hurriedly, hoping no-one had recognised me, or even worse, discovered my secret identity.

"Hello?" I muttered, my head low by my shoulders, "Who is it?"

"Rebecca! Why didn't you ring me to tell me you were let out early?" breathing a sigh of relief, I calmed my frantic mother, elated that I had once again escaped the men in white coats.

"Well anyway, Bexx, I found out from the Borders website that the shop near you on Charring Cross road is hosting a midnight release party!"

"WHAT?!?!? Really? You're not joking are you?"

"No, but maybe you should go in and get some details."

"Ok, bye." I muttered giving a large grin to a passer-by whose eyes widened and pace quickened. Oops.

I backtracked quickly and made a beeline for the store, breathing deeply and twitching as I saw a copy of 'Twilight'. Moving my head to the right, I saw the information desk and headed over, getting in line behind a little kid who kept stepping on my toes. When it looked up, I gave it a nice big smile. Consequently it shrieked, running to the back of the store, and meaning its mother left the line. Moving forward, with a grin on my face, I stop when I see something in my peripheral vision. A white chess piece on a black background with a little red pawn behind- I'd recognise the cover of 'Breaking Dawn' anywhere.

Forgetting I was in a public place where screaming like a banshee was considered strange I ran over to the counter where there lay a pile of about 200 flyers advertising the release party. Grabbing a bunch, I made my way to the front of the queue, bouncing in excitement'

"Next." a very bored looking sales assistant said, not looking up from the magazine on the desk before her. Carefully, so as not to fall over, I went to the desk.

"Hell-" I twitched with excitement, "Hello. I came to enquire as to whether the store was holding an event on the second of August for the upcoming,  'Best book of the Year', 'Breaking Dawn' by Stephenie Meyer and if so, what might you be doing?"

"Ummm? No we aren't."

"But I heard about it on the Internet!"

"Yeah, well," She said with a souf lundun drawl, "That's 'cos it aint on the second is it? It don't come out till va fourf."

I felt tears pooling in my eyes as I walked out of the shop. "2 more days! I have two wait to more stinking days!" I shouted whilst I walked down the street to the station. People were giving me strange looks, as per usual, but I just glared at them. It wasn't until I reached the station and went to get my ticket that I realised I was still holding the pile of leaflets.

So as you can imagine, I am not a happy bunny at the moment.

But on a happier note the new Twilight trailer came out on Thursday! I think I can safely say; Oh my Carlisle. I cannot wait! If you've seen it, I'm sure you'll agree with me and if you haven't, go watch it!

Anyway, I must be off. Unfortunately some people have to work for a living. Luckily for me, I have a mum who does that!

Heylo again peoples!

I'm amazed by the response I got from my last (and yet first??) blog post. You guys think I'm funny? I guess I do have a knack for comedy; a fantastically dry humour if I do say so myself.

Anyway, on the Twilight front:

I've just discovered the mega-cool Breaking Dawn quote of the day! Today's is as follows;

Emmett: ?Oooo, scary.?

Short and yet tantalizingly sweet. My favourite so far was the one with Alice and Rock paper scissors;

Alice: "I?ll play you for it. Rock, paper, scissors."
Edward: "Why don?t you just tell me who wins?"
Alice: "I do. Excellent."

Just so Alice-y! Oh? I really can't wait. Only 17 days, 10 hours and around 20 minutes. Not that I'm counting.

Also, Entertainment Weekly is releasing an all new Twilight trailer! But I have no idea if I can watch that in this country! Curse you Britain.

But honestly it's not fair. Of all the countries in the world for me to live in, my parents chose stinking Britain, with its rainy streets, COMPULSORY Physical education and Religious studies to GCSE and Boris Johnson. They could have had America; home to Reese's peanut butter cups, Shojo Beat and, of course, Mrs Meyer. But no, obviously Britain wins every time.

Other escapades in the life of Brian er? Rebecca:

Once again I am writing this whilst at my work experience placement though maybe I shouldn't say that? you're going to start thinking we have nothing to do. Actually; today you can think that. The office is kind of quiet. There are a grand total of 3 people here. Of 30. That's 10%! Ich denke?

My brain seems to be slowly deteriorating? probably coffee overkill. Yesterday, whilst having dinner, I left the kitchen and went to sit down and eat my food before realising I had forgotten the sauce. So I picked up my food and went back into the kitchen; returning minutes later with the sauce in hand. I sat down, got ready to eat- then realised that I couldn't. I'd left my dinner in the kitchen.
This time I left the sauce in the dining room and went to retrieve my food, only to reach the table and realise I had no knife and fork. As you can imagine, I spent the next 5 minutes bashing my head against the wall.

So as Lunch here at digital media sales draws to a close, I bid you adieu fair readers.

Your ever loving host in the life of Rebecca;

The genius herself.

I've just discovered the mega-cool Breaking Dawn quote of the day! Today's is as follows;

Emmett: ?Oooo, scary.?

Short and yet tantalizingly sweet. My favourite so far was the one with Alice and Rock paper scissors;

Your ever loving host in the life of Rebecca;

The genius herself.

Cashews and empty coffee cups.

Why the Title? It's the two things I can see clearly in my peripheral vision.

I am currently sitting at my desk doing my work experience and writing my first ever  blog entry. Contrary to what you may think; there is a lot of work to do. But I was bored in lunch break so I decided to create this site. Crazy, huh?

But that's just my life. Full of crazy and random actions that can seldom be explained by anything other than sod's law. For example on Wednesday I went to cross the road when suddenly a truck swung round the corner, forcing me backward. Thus I took two steps back- and went knee high into wet sludge. Yes you guessed it; I fell in a puddle.

So far I've spent my day missing two trains, writing (in my head) a new fanfiction story for Twilight, planning the advert slot times for the 'Baby TV' channel on the 16th and designing dresses for next years May Queen's event. My life is filled with a wide range of activities. =]

For those of you who don't already know, my name is Rebecca and I am fifteen years old. I enjoy activities such as writing, reading and drawing though, as yet, I haven't tried to do all three together?

Well now that my schedule for tomorrow is sorted, I will say ciao for now and finish boring you.

Rebecca.
