Breaking news: According to Per Ravn Omdal, second vice-president of UEFA, 'it is not unthinkable that six or seven major clubs will be excluded from the 2006-2007 Champions League competition as a consequence of the many cases of corruption within several national football competitions'. Except Juventus and AC Milan, no club names have been published so far but official sources within UEFA stated the possibility that a number of Italian, Belgian, French and Dutch teams may be excluded.
