Introduction

American Idol Season 2 was the best season so far in my opinion. The competitors were very talented people. What made it the most interesting was that every finalist was as good as any other so everyone in America had their own favorites who they voted for each week. Come here to learn about the competitors and the competition.

Male Comentary

In this season, the male stars seemed to have faired better than the females. However, when it comes down to talent, i feel the females had the true edge.

Charles Grigsby: With his squeaky voice, he only made it to round two of the finals. He needs more vocal training to keep those little mess-ups under control. However, he should have lasted longer than he did. There are some people in the competition that made it a little too far and Charles should have had a few more votes coming in his direction during the competition.

Clay Aiken: He's not as good as everyone says he is. I really feel that he made it that far because he was funny to people. However, he does have an ok voice and his power outways most of the others. I dunno if I would have put him that far. He just seems too repetitive and fake.

Corey Clarke: Sometimes off-key and sometimes not. He's just mediocre. I have to tell you thought that I really like his rendition of "Open Arms" on the Idol CD. I do think that him getting kicked out was a little un-called for. They could have waited a few weeks. I guess he's one of the better singers.

Joshua Gracin: Finally someone unique in this competition. I liked him a lot more in the beginning but I really think that he deserved to make it to the final two. His country night song was really really good! Keep up the good work and kick some terrorist ass!

Ruben Studdard: He won... I really can't say anything. He's the most repetitive person in this competition. Every song sounds the same. I have a few questions though. Simon bugs the girls about their weight but not Ruben. Simon bugs the girls about their style but not Ruben. Simon bugs everyone about being repetitive but not Ruben. He won as soon as it started and he doesn't deserve it. I've heard him live.

Rickey Smith: Way, way, way to happy! He needs to calm down with the smiles. Just too much. Whatever he does he smiles. He can fall off a building and he'll be laughing. He has a boring voice and just doesn't have what it takes. He's way too boring. Sorry Rickey.

The Competitors: Female

This year the girls were just better than the guys. They had more overall talent and great looks too! Maybe none of them won because a girl one last year. Oh well, we'll probably be seein some cd's from them in the future.

Carmen Rasmusen: A tad on the squeaky side. No wait a huge squeaker. Sorry but I still liked her a lot on the show she just really didn't have what it took to win this season. She made it as far as she did because America liked her. She was young and energetic and fun to watch. Good song picks too.

Julia Demato: She was just the best. People, if you looked at her past performances you can see this. I know during the finals she was a little weak but in the previous auditions and on the tour she did excellent. She would have done a great job as the American Idol this season. Too bad though, maybe she'll get a cd.

Kimberly Caldwell: She had the most unique voice out of all of the competitors. This just wasn't her type of music. Her voice wasn't meant for those song themes and she really needs to write her own music. Learn how to play the guitar Kim and you are set to go.

Kimberley Locke: She did have a very smooth voice on the show and towards the end she showed some power. However, it has been said throughout various websites that she really has a bad attitude on the tour and towards fans. Is this true, I don't know. I do know that snobs get no where in this business and especially one who had no repect already because they were on American Idol and didn't earn their fame.

Trenyce: Wow she was powerful! She had great song choices and was always on key. Finally someone was on the right pitch. We all know she got booted early but what can I tell you all you voted didn't you. Josh really did deserve to go but overall I think Clay's run was up. Trenyce, good luck in the future!

Vanessa Olivarez: She deserved to get voted out. She wasn't as powerful or unique as the others. Her style was different but she just didn't win over the crowd. her fan base was too small. However, I do think she should have been on the American Idol 2 CD and on the tour. Sorry about that little bit Vanessa.
