Dec 7	Planned Season Opener - Give us a call or check our web site for updates.
Dec 24	Santa On Skis - The Big Guy in the red suit likes to take a few runs down the slopes and say "Ho Ho Ho" to the kids before taking off on his big journey.
Dec 31	New Years Eve Torchlight Parade and Fireworks Show - Give the old year a proper send-off! We get things started with a torchlight parade on Ricochet at 8pm. Then, we unleash the pyrotechnic wizards from Spielbauer Fireworks who have provided us with spectacular shows for many years. After that, you're ready to bring in the New Year in style. All of the establishments throughout the village will be doing their best to help make your New Year a memorable one.
Jan 2-13	College Daze - An extra discount is available to all you college students who show your college ID at the ticket counter.
Jan 19	Skating Party - Bring your skates and we'll supply the refreshments and fun at our outdoor skating rink.
Jan 26	BPM SnowFest - Kids Treasure Hunt and Fun Race.
Feb 2	Country Kicker - Country themed music and events with prizes.
Feb 16	Skating Party - Bring your skates and we'll supply the refreshments and fun at our outdoor skating rink.
Mar 8	Hawaii Fest - Tropical fun on the slopes. We'll provide the fun activities, like the egg toss and penguin race, and some great prizes too.
Mar 15	Spring Carnival - Bring a costume, enter some fun events, and have a great time! Featuring a costume contest, egg toss, and obstacle course. Lots of prizes too!
Mar 15	Skating Party - Bring your skates and we'll supply the refreshments and fun at our outdoor skating rink.

Mar 23	Easter On The Slopes - We tend to have a lot of snow left up here on Easter but we celebrate it just like everywhere else. We even put on our own version of an Easter Parade.

Big Powderhorn Info & Tips

Besides Big Powderhorn, you can ski two other Big Snow Country resorts - Blackjack and
Indianhead. Both of these resorts are just a short drive (5 miles) east of us on US2. A third option -
Whitecap is just 19 miles west of here.
We have an outdoor ice skating rink located across the street from the lodging office.
It is illuminated for night time skating but you will need to bring your own skates since there aren't
any rentals available.
Horse drawn sleigh rides depart from Winterwind Farms about 5 miles west of Big Powderhorn.
They offer a truly memorable ride through their own woodland trails.
Snow Tubing is available during the evenings at Mt. Zion in Ironwood.
Cross country skiing offers many choices in our area, some of the more popular being the
Wolverine Nordic trails which run across the top of our hill and the extensive
ABR trail system which is just 15 minutes away in Ironwood.
Snowshoers can enjoy exploring special trails at either the Wolverine or ABR trail systems or
they can walk part of the North Country Trail which winds past several waterfalls along the wild
and scenic Black River.
Snowmobilers have made our region a destination for decades. With lots of snow and groomed
trail systems that seem to go on forever, you can ride to your heart's content. Take a look at our
