Welcome to SNM Horror Magazine, a premier online publication featuring the best new talent in horror today. We will showcase 8 new short stories each month and publish on the first day of each month unless posted otherwise. The best part: it’s FREE! Whether it’s to browse around and read the featured authors or even submit a story yourself, we welcome and embrace you into our dark realm of true horror. This space was built by my own grimy appendages from sordid ceremonial grounds and dipped in the blood of disdain and rejection. My ghoulish hands wove together this underworld to feature some great works from authors who haven’t had their imaginative scrolls of horror presented in this inner sanctum from the crypt and into the daylight. We dare to publish what other mags don't, but only in the best of taste!

Yes, you heard right, SNM Magazine is FREE to the public! We are here to bring you the best new voices in horror with a new issue every month. Who will be the next generation of Stephen King? You decide. Vote for your favorite author to be featured in our anthology. By previewing their featured stories for free, you can decide which authors you like best. All we ask is that you patron only the ones you like by buying their novel with a link to their website or where to buy their book.  Sign our reader guestbook and subscribe below for our free monthly newsletter.                           Attention Horror Writers:

Do you have an original short story that you want to see published? All first and second time published and self-published writers are welcome. If we publish it we will  showcase your short story and promote your book or website right underneath your featured works in the hallowed halls of our magazine. If available, we will also post your feature author picture on the site for the month your story is published. We have bi-monthly paying contests and we’re publishing a horror anthology with paid royalties to all contributors featured therein. Submit us your best unpublished fiction! You can sell your book directly through your own channels of distribution and get your name out to the masses! We charge no fees for this or any other services.

We now have all 8 submissions approved for the August Issue.  The story of the month winners are now posted on the issues. Thank you to everyone who submitted; we received 32 stories.  September to Dismember is next and we are open for stories! *We have 7 approved September Submissions with 1 opening. See the submission page for guidelines and September theme. We still have a few openings for the upcoming SNM anthology! Greetings SNM Readers                                                                                 

It’s time to drop the bombshell with the Augusta Bomb Horror Holocaust issue of SNM! Here you will find stories of war, invasion, plague and disease, and even end of the world apocalyptica! If Nostradamus predicted right, it’s all going to come to an end in 2012, so if that’s the case, let’s go out with a big bang ya to death, spontaneous combustion here! Will we go out by nuclear war, terrorist attack, some meteor plummeting to earth, global warming…or will we just simply run out of oil? Whatever the case, it’s not looking so good for humankind so live each day as if it were your last and go out with a big ol’ bang SNM style! In the meantime, we have some great new stories from returning authors and new. We have worldwide submissions from the UK, Canada and even Israel, as well as local ones here in the states. We’ve had Mr. Ramsey Campbell from the UK stop in to clear up a matter on our guestbook and tremendous support from our SNM authors in regards to it. We’ll teach that impersonating fraud a lesson! So kick back for a while and come check the August issue for some dark, apocalyptic muse!  

ANNOUNCEMENT: We will be hosting a new addition to SNM Horror Mag starting in August to introduce a new Gothic dark side to the magazine. Each month we will host a new Goth Covergirl at the bottom of the homepage with a brief bio and link to their site. We as a horror cult feel it’s totally relevant to attract and cross promote an underground of Gothica, who darkly embrace horror and see the beauty of the dark side of life, like us. If you are a Suicide Girl, send us your hottest, darkest, bloodiest photos for consideration. The August issue will feature SNM Covergirl Lady Parasyte, a pleasantly penetrating girl with unbelievable photogenic expression. Welcome my dark and fair lady, SNM Mag darkly embraces you! She is truly the SNM Queen and will always have a chamber here. A big thanks also to David Saliba, who I would be lost without in helping me with the edits. I may be the heartbeat but David is the brain and Crystal is the soul. Or, I am Simon, David is Randy and Crystal is Paula and THIS…is American Evil! And thanks especially to you, the avid readers, for making SNM Horror Magazine a hugely successful debut. Horror has a new home and we have only just arrived! The Mausoleum is built…and the Dead are coming. 

ANNOUNCEMENT: We are now hosting in the Hallowed Halls of Horror our SNM Horror Author of the Year Award for the top 12 authors from May 07 to April 08. It will be decided by the Story of the Month and you the readers will get to cast your votes in April 2009. Who will be the SNM Horror Author of the Year and the winner of the $150 award? The winner will be announced in the May 2009 issue. You will have 30 days to vote. This is only the beginning of our deep descent into dark madness and the macabre. We hope that you find the August issue most apocalyptic as our writers drop their bombshells and blow you the Hell away!

In addition to the regular October "Halloween Screams" issue, SNM will also be publishing its first glossy 6x9 paperback anthology for the 16 best short stories we feature between May-September. Featured stories of the month will automatically have a place in this. There will be paid royalties offered to the authors along with a contributor's copy. For this, we would have exclusive rights to the story for a year from publication. After that, you may resell it as a reprint for any future endeavors.  Limit one story per author. Word count: 2500-6000. *Must appear in SNM Mag.   *More updates and details are now posted and available on our submissions page...
