i just completed my last final, which means that i am out of school for two whole weeks. yipee. i am sorry to everyone i may have ignored or not contacted in the past few weeks. i have just been going crazy with tests and papers and presentations and more tests. i drank one cup of coffee last night so i would not fall asleep too early studying for my biology exam. well it worked. i attempted to go to sleep at 3:30 am and tossed around in bed for an hour before i finally fell asleep. you know those times where you are really sleepy but your brain won't stop working? i guess it was pumped on caffeine. maybe next time i should try half a cup of coffee. i slept for a total of two hours and woke up again at 6:30 am to continue studying. now i feel pretty naseous and also like i might have a heart attack if i don't get some rest and this caffeine out of my system. on the bright side, i think i did fairly well on my final. i hope.

it's been a while since i have written anything here mainly because i have not been able to login to freewebs from school for some reason. but finally i can! there are several things that have happened that i should probably talk about.
first, i had a birthday. thanks to everyone who actually remembered. it was pretty neat cause my cousins took me to an all you can eat sushi buffet in dallas, and i ate all i could. someone at the table next to us was celebrating his/her birthday too, and i said that i was my birthday, too. so the waitress overheard me and brought out a little cake and a set of teacups as a present. it was pretty awesome.
also, my grandmother had her surgery and it was kind of worrisome at first cause she refused to eat anything. but that improved. she did have to get four bags of blood over the course of the week she was there though. she finally came home last friday and all seemed well until this past sunday. she fell in the middle of the night (like 4 am) when she was trying to go to the restroom on the hip that she had surgery on. she was crying for someone for 30 minutes before anyone heard her. it was pretty bad. in the morning she was still in a lot of pain but we couldn't lift her to take her to the hospital. so the firefighters and paramedics came and even the neighbors. it was a big party at my house. we finally got her to the hospital and luckily nothing was broken, so they just gave her some morphine and let her go home. i also convinced my mom to put a monitor (like a baby monitor) in her room so that if anything ever happens, we'll know.
i've felt pretty weird lately with everyone dying and the school shooting and whatnot. yesterday, my art history teacher started crying in class and told us that her friend had died over the weekend and she didn't feel like teaching. i don't know if it's just the season or what, but it's pretty depressing. she finally just told us to tell people you love them while you still can. because if you wait, it might be too late.
on the bright side, i finally finished a mix and will have it posted here as soon as i figure out if it's any good. or even if it's not, i may still put it up. i've been so busy with school that it had taken me months to finish it, and i am just tired of it now. so i hope all that time was worth something.
oh yeah. my school didn't give me any financial aid for the summer and only a loan for the fall. i am trying to get work study but i haven't gotten a reply yet. it's kind of annoying. i really need to figure out what is going to happen cause i want to graduate already!

i think i had a really weird dream last night. or nightmare possibly. i remember this because when i woke up i felt weird. then i forgot about it. then when i was driving to school i remembered it again. it was about cocorosie.
i am really addicted to their new album. i don't care if it is a transcode. it's really good. i can't decide which is my favorite song. they are all v good. i have been listening to it constantly.
i got an A on my biology test (with the curve), which is a miracle. last time i got a C with the curve. but i studied more this time. it kind of gives me hope that i can do okay in the class.
my grandmother was supposed to have surgery last thursday and was on the operating table when the doctors discovered that her blood was too thin to operate. they had the results for a whole week and never bothered to look at them. but she finally had it on tuesday and i've been at the hospital every day since. the surgery went well and i am really glad. i don't think i could have dealt with a death right now. i don't think i could bear to see how it would affect my mom. i am really glad things went okay.
my art history class went to the kimbell yesterday to see the japanese ukiyo-e exhibition. the curator gave us a tour, but we only had an hour to see everything so she rushed us through the exhibit. it's neat because she told us that the paintings were in storage in boston for a v long time and no one had ever seen them. then in the 90's they decided to finally catalogue them and got some people from japan to do it, who deemed them the best in the world. now they're finally on tour, but after this they'll go back into storage and never be seen again in our lifetime. i feel like a part of something special. plus, the day before, i proofread this girl's paper in my class and it was about ukiyo-e. i will probably go back to see them again.

freewebs is being super lame and not letting me update so i am making will fix my site for me. but i don't have a ton of time to write a real update now cause i have lab in ten minutes! but until i do, you can look at my coloring of the fsfs cartoon.
