a short vacation

we started school again on monday. maybe i have gotten used to the summer cause i don't remember ever having as many cars in the parking lots before. so many cars that every parking lot is full by 10 am. every parking lot. maybe cause it's the fall and all these freshmen haven't started skipping classes yet. i don't know. either way, it's really crowded here. in case you're wondering, my fall schedule is as follows:

anyway, i wanted to recap summer events cause they are important. luckily, both natasha and brittany were here and even though natalie wasn't and we missed her, it was still a lot of fun. these things include: going to spiral cafe in fort worth a million times, going to various coffee-selling places like coffee cup, america's best, and coffee haus, a couple of trips to jamba juice and the mall, visiting the ron meuck exhibit at the modern, making fsfs tshirts, and a bunch of other things that i can't remember at this point. either way, i posted some pictures in the photos section from our various escapades.
natasha went back to school yesterday, and brittany is leaving on sunday (unless she gets another job and then maybe she will be here for a bit longer). but it's been a pretty fun summer, thanks to brittany and natasha, and i wish natalie could have been around to take part!

today is my last day of work until september 1st. it's been pretty fun hanging at the library cause it's pretty slow in the summer and i can do whatever i want most of the time. the fall will be busier and i will be working more hours, but we'll see how it goes.
i've been taking on some clothing projects lately. i made two skirts: one short charcoal pinstripe skirt and a long heather gray jersey skirt. i also decided to make some shirts for the kids cause i had this t-rex stencil at home. but then when i asked them what colors they wanted, my nephew insisted on the dinosaur with the long neck. so using his dinosaur coloring book, i made a stencil of his dinosaur. and i found a cute t-rex stencil online, and i used that to make my niece's shirt. you can see them in the artworks section. i also took some more pictures of my baby knees.
i had a root canal on monday for this tooth that had a cracked filling from over a year ago, but i never got it done. since the filling was so close to the root, if they redid the filling, they'd get to the root anyway, so we decided to go ahead and do a root canal. everything was okay until the numbness wore off, and then i was pretty sore. your jaw starts to hurt when you've had your mouth open for an hour. i guess the lesson of this story is that while white fillings may look prettier, they need to be replaced every five years or so and don't last nearly as long as silver ones, which can last 10+ years.
i finally got my grades for the summer and i got an A in my social processes lab and a B in biology, which i was expecting. my gpa is like a 3.09, so it may be possible to bring it up to a 3.2 by the time i graduate. wish me luck!

i am finally finished with finals and school for the summer. i am very very very very excited about this and relieved. i am very excited and relieved that i will never have to take biology again for the rest of my life. hooray!!!

did you know that if you take those non-drowsy daytime cold pills at night, you won't be able to sleep? i discovered this last night. i have a cold. maybe from my mom or from my sister turning up the AC so high the other night that everyone in my family froze to death in their sleep. my dad threatened to completely turn off the AC if anyone did that again.
my last official day of school is tuesday. i already finished my eleven-week social processes lab on thursday. now i just have my bio final on tuesday. it was supposed to be on monday, but my prof wanted to fit in another chapter. lame. but after tuesday, i will be free to party down and maybe we can get those t-shirts done! and my sewing projects and research that i was supposed to do but never did. i still have to work 30 hours at the library, but i am just glad i will have some time off before school starts again!

like wasps, people are annoying. i will elaborate on this later.
last night, while waiting for will to call, unaware that he was already asleep and getting angrier by the minute (sorry), i kept going over in my head things that i would say to spencer if i ever emailed him. i guess i'm just really pissed that this album is so terrible. for one of the most anticipated albums of the year, it was nothing like i expected, and not in a good way. i told will i would say: "dear spencer, your album is so bad, it makes me want to cry." yes, i am that upset about it. yes, i was this close: [ ] to crying.
back to the wasp issue, i know that i have annoyed people in the past. but i can take a hint. other people cannot. don't you think that if i had wanted to talk to you, i would have done so already? i would have made some attempt to contact you. in all honesty, there are few people i really care to talk to, and you're not one of them. yes, i am talking about you. i don't think i can make it any clearer. it's just a little creepy. bordering on stalkerish. i'm not the only one who feels this way. if you think this makes me a bitch, then i will just have to live with that. you may think you know me, but in the past year i have changed into a completely different person. and i'm happier this way.
most of the time, i am really nice. most of the time i am too nice. i'm only mean when i have to be. take a hint, people.
