Chapter One
All of the birds we breed today originate from the one blue line founded in 1984.
We have only one line that is supplemented occasionally by the right outcross.
Size, shape and stance are a great feature of the stud together with a wide deep showy face built on a solid wide shoulder.
Birds are always available.
If you are just starting up in budgerigars or are in need of an outcross, why not look to our line bred stud of winning budgerigars. We would be more than happy to help or advise. We also are available as speakers at club events and are both B.S Panel judges. Colin lives in Essex and keeps all of the Smith and Gage sales birds in his birdroom, Simon lives in Kent and keeps the stock birds, and show team in the show season. We tend to keep the the stud as one unit, the birds are not Colin`s or Simon`s. However we do have our own special varieties that we keep as a challenge. Colin is breeding recessive pieds, lacewings and normals. While Simon concentrates mainly on the normals with a few spangles and dominant pieds. The stud benefits from the fact that top class normals can be used to the other varieties at all times.
