Sminthian's Gallery

This is for photos, art, poetry, text, images, video, WIPs (Work In Progress), and other such things I along with others would like to show publicly. In other words, this is my gallery =D and I'm sharing it with anyone that wants to be a part of it. ^____^ All photos on here are COPYRIGHT and you must get the owner's permission to use it for anything or to recreate it. I cannot stress that enough.

On this site, you'll be able to chat in the Forums , View Photos and other Art, and if you'd like to have your stuff displayed on this page, email me at sminthianapollo@aim.com. hello, peoples. I realize I have been neglecting the site, and so I am back!! \(^o^)/

I was not gone this long on purpose, mind you, just had my hands rather tied up.

A few people have emailed me their pictures, so visit the photo gallery in then navagation bar to view them. I will post them, if not today, then tomorrow. Thank you for being patient with me, it is much appreciated.

EDIT: So I fixed my little forum problem, hooray!! Now we can all chat and whatnot in the Forums ^^  To view and chat in the forums, Click Here!!

I put up a forum onto this site, but my laptop hates me so I cannot as of yet post any new topics.

High Jumper at our Track and Field meet, I believe he broke 5 feet that day ... This guy knocked the pole down with his hip or waist. We took first for our JV boys this day =D

March 30, 2008 --

 Launch of the new site!!! \(^o^)/  See blog for what's going on like help requests and how to get your photos put up on here =D [title: "Blog It!" in the navigation bar]

Edit: I will not be using my laptop anymore for the reasons below as well as other reasons. Instead I will be using the upstairs computer to complete my updates. I may not be able to get on more then once a week once I put that into place because for one, the computer is sometimes slower then the laptop; two, my dad has to work on it whenever it is a work-at-home day; and three, we have low disc space on it so if I have to download anything it would take up the last little bit ...

In the near future, I will be featuring the photos and images I really like that are sent to my aim, sminthianapollo@aim.com or sminthianapollo@aol.com, either works. (This is a contest. To view the information, go to "Blog It!"  or "*New Blog*" in the navigation bar)  They will be put in their own little box and I will post a maximum of 5 images from the winner, 3 from the second place, and one from third. The first two will get their desired name in the title and all will get their description in their own box.

Oh! And welcome birdybop to the site!

I will get some of my friends to help me with this little project I got myself into. birdybop, for one, as my beta tester. He also has a deviantart. Birdybop On DA Here!! In the meantime you can see our pictures posted in our DeviantArt accounts. Click on the links in the navigation bars to view our dA accounts.                                           If you do not have a DA account and cannot see my AIM accounts when you click on them, my AIM is sminthianapollo.

 Some of the keys on my laptop fail to work, such as h which I am copying and pasting, apostrophe, arrow keys, and sometimes the enter key, too. Therefore, I may be requesting help in updating this site later on. 

Todays damage:  Started this website, Put up forums (please read the second box!), messed around, got better acquainted with how this works, gave contact information, OK I think I am good for now =P

 March 31, 2008 --

 So today I didn't do much again. Added a few things, updated the Contest rules a bit, clarified some things. Also, in the forums is a new category about uploading on this site. Read if you want, its about how to get your stuff on here ^^

Birdybop posted a quiz/test thing, so once he gives me the link *hint hint* I can put the link here and you can take it. He's so random it'll be fun lol so take a look

Hmm ... today's damage was just mellow . I changed the website picture, fancy Sminthian power! Oh ya! (lol don't ask); I also updated the forums and, like I said, some of the blogs ... [now people know how they can get their things displayed on here, where to look for them, how to enter for a contest, how to contact me and birdybop, um ... about the video upload thing ... um ... hmm ... what else? How to join this site, or at least close to it =P, How to become admin ... Guess that's about it, then ...]

Oh! And welcome earthbendingmage to the site =D enjoy ^^ Her deviantart is Right Here! in case you want to see a third dA account lol she's got some awesome stuff!

Tomorrow my goal is to make the pictures in "Picture Samples" smaller so you don't have to scroll down to view them =D

April 25, 2008 --

Well ... All I gotta say is four days ago (April 21, '08) my dog died ... so ... That's why I haven't worked on here for a while and why you might not see any updates for a little bit ... so ... ya ...

That's all I gotta say for now, but maybe more updates will me made later... some more pictures or something. 

April 9, 2008 -- 

Haven't had a chance to do much lately, dad has taken over the computer. I knew this would happen -_- So I'm getting on all late and stuff which is limiting what I can do on here ><" Oh well, at least I can still get on, right?

First off, the deadline for the April contest is drawing nearer, so get that stuff in, people!! Otherwise, no contest entry for you =P lol

Lets see ... what should my next project be? I didn't change anything today, so nothing should be different except for this. My next project will probably be to upload more photos into the photo gallery and then figure out why I can't put videos into the video gallery once I make one...

I made a forum topic about it, so read about uploading videos there. Alright, then. That's all for now I suppose. iHasta luego!

April 4, 2008 --

Hahahahahaha!! Yes! I beat my dad to the computer! Had to get up early to do it (not like I don't already lol) What's six give or take ... take ... a few 30 minutes ^^;

So today, I may not be able to get on, but my project is to work on the Sminthian logo with birdybop today. Hopefully we can get that done and clean for the site ^^   Today is Sadie Hawkins so birdybop and I (seeing as how we're going together) may not be able to get on cuz its going to start pretty soon after school (5, I think) and ends at about 11:30 so I hear. Its a Knot's Barry farm The boardwalk is closed to the public \(^o^)/

Anyway, the current Sminthian logo is just plain, you know? So birdybop and I are going to have it do stuff. You'll see when its up More updates later, maybe, hopefully, possibly lol in the mean time, I'll upload some pictures before school starts so you can take a look at that.

April 2, 2008 --

 I got on afterall!!=D just couldn't do anything, is all =P my mom (I'm not that old, ppl, just a freshman here!) told me I had to get off ><" I just log on and she's already ushering me off! What's up with that?!

Anyway, I didn't get to do anything but the pictures should be better, if not Birdybop will let me know ^^ and the forums are kinda updated, there's the whole "how to" stuff in there that you HAVE TO READ AND FOLLOW if you want your art on here. Otherwise I might just assume for the stuff [copyright, description, name, etc.] that its what I call a "standard" copyright, the description will be "[failed to provide description]" and name will be your email. I highly doubt you want that, so just make everything easier and put the info in the email. What you have to include is now in the forums.

If you don't have the necessary stuff included with the pictures, then I either will do what I said in the above paragraph or your art won't show on the site at all. Your pick, I understand and know that's mean, but I can't go through the trouble of sending everyone that does that an email explaining what's missing and how to fix it when they can just figure out they forgot something themselves, fix it, and email it back to me. So much EASIER! lol

Edit: Anyone that wants something to do, my friends are drawing anime and manga if you would like to color them. Send me an email, you know what it is =P, and I will send you the pictures. If you want it put up on here, send it back to me and I'll do that for you =D ^___^

I have a couple Commissions to work on, so apologies if I am not on every day or every week ^^:   You know I still care ^^ lol

Also, if you see birdybop on here, he is part of the newly developed admin team, so don't mess around with him, k? If you need to reach me and I don't reply to your email within one week -- I will check the date that I received it -- then feel free to contact me through him at k1l3rz@hotmail.com. All the important information is in the box above for your disposal. 

Today my goal is to fix the two pictures at the bottom of the box titled "Sample Pictures". Birdybop, being my beta tester, informed me about them being too big .... Be sure to thank him for the site running properly! =D If not for him, the pictures would be too big, the music wouldn't be playing, and some of the forums probably wouldn't be up xD

The goal for today is done ... Lets see ... Oh! and I disabled the right click option. I understand that it can be annoying, but this is a copyright site. Anything on here, photos, poems, etc., is copyright and may not be copied without the owner's consent and approval. With that, if you do want to use anything from this site, you must email me saying the owner approved you copying the picture and I will email them to confirm. After it has been confirmed by the owner, I will email you the picture or text and you are free to do as you please. That was number 1.
