smile_clarenet

Welcome

Welcome! I am smile_clarenet. In actual fact, I go under many names on the internet, but I only have one identity. I also go by musiclover89, musical_beauty, musicalbeauty89, clarinette89, potterfan89 and potternutter. I have had other usernames in the past, but those are all gone now. I can be found on the Fiction Central site and forum boards under the name smile_clarenet.

I've been writing since I was 8, but only taken it up more seriously since I was 15. I mostly write for me at the moment, though I have had some great reviews for a few of my stories. I dream of being a published writer one day, but for now that will remain a dream.

In recent years I have written a few fanfiction stories, mostly based on the Disney/Pixar film Cars. I haven't been writing fanfiction as much lately, and seem to be concentrating more on my original fiction stories, though I will go back to fanfiction from time to time - usually when I'm stuck with my original fiction.

You've probably guessed from the above paragraphs that I'm a writer (though not yet published, at least, not officially). I'm also a computer student, newly graduated from a BTEC course in IT Practitioners. I have more time for my writing now I am done with college, though with volunteering two days a week, going square dancing, going to Rangers and helping out at a Girl Guides group, I am still fairly busy. Plus I have a few projects on the go at the moment, and then there's the job hunting, which isn't particularly successful at the moment.

I will gradually be adding galleries to this site for each of my stories. I now have two galleries online, one for Up In Smoke, and one for Singing in the Dark. I will only be putting pictures online that I or someone in my family has taken. It is quite likely that they will all have been taken within the United Kingdom, as I have not been abroad, and it looks unlikely that I'll be going overseas for many years yet.

Back in November 2007 decided to have a go at Nanowrimo. Nanowrimo stands for National Novel Writing Month. The challenge that they have laid down is to write a story in the month of November that is at least 50,000 words. My Nanowrimo story for 2007 is Singing In The Dark.

It's now approaching November 2008, and once again I'm having a go at Nanowrimo. This year's story is called Just Believe. A little information can be found on this story on the page for the story.
