A quick introduction into the world of RED DWARF!
Lister went out one night on a pub crawl around London. Except this was a monoply pub crawl. By the time he and his freinds had finished he could not remember a thing. He woke up the next day on one of saturns moons far far away from Earth. This moon was called Mimas. He had a passport in the name of Emily somthing.
Wanting to despartly get back to earth lister tries to make money by driving space hoppers.
Lister is a slob. He is the king of Slobs! He loves Chicken vindaloo's and curry's. All the money he makes from his fares from space hopping he spends on beer. Looking for a more high payed job lister joins one of the mining ships curruntly in orbit. He is taken aboard the minig ships RED DWARF as a thrid technician the lowest rank aboard the ship! Still it was a way home.
During the journey to jupiter to mine and then the two years back to earth lister falls in love, meets new freinds and aqquries a very special bunk mate. But...
They never make it to earth. Lister smuggles aboard an unquarruntined cat and is found out. He has to forfeit 18 months of pay and spend the rest of the trip in statis. Statis is where you get locked into a room and within the room time is frozen. Lister emerges out of statis a little while later and is told by holly the ships computer that EVRYONE the WHOLE crew is DEAD! Rimmer lister's bunk mate is alive but dead. He has been brought back as a hologram. He can not touch anything.
Lister's cat had been saftly sealed in the cargo hold and survived the nuclaer explosion. And has bred there for 3 million years! That's right Lister was in statis for 3 million years! And so Rimmer lister the cat and holly set a course for earth and head there. But it's gonna take a long time and over their long journey they discover many things and meet new freinds...
