This is the housing that I bought at the local Home Depot for $10US
.

I drilled 5 holes in the housing for venting. They are 3/16 inch.

This unit is almost perfect. The bulb that I am using is an Ushio 70 watt. Cost $70 US.

The only modification that was required to the socket for the bulb, was the placement of the tabs that hold the bulb.WARNING the bulb is very fragile and the ceramic tips will break. So after taking the reflector out and the screws that hold the socket in, there are screws at either end that hold the wires on. Remove the screws and the socket will come out. Then I bent the tab slightly to give the bulb more space side to side. My bulb was also to wide when viewing the end(the contacts did not touch the tab so I cut the bottom of the screw hole out. Basicly making the hole a slot(see pic). Now reassemble the unit.

Next was hooking up the ballast. This is easy. I bought my ballast from a person on Ebay for $55 US. What I did was to cut the power wire that came with my light leaving enough wire on the plug side so that I could still use it. Ok now the ballasts has 4 wires; 2 blue 1 black and 1 white. The blue wires go to the bulb wiring(Black to Blue/White to Blue). The Black and White wires on the ballast go to the black and white wires on the plug. Don't forget to attach a green wire to the plug, the ballast and the green wire from the housing.
This is the wire to the plug(minus the Green wire)

And here is the ballast
The finished product.
