Detailed description (SmartVid GUI help)

I have been notified of a new bug in SmartVid. The bug involve both of presented versions, original SmartVid.exe even my patched version SmartV2k.exe. (For difference between these versions, see SmartVid GUI help - Bug in Windows 2000) The bug come out if you try to convert file bigger than about 450MBytes. SmartVid exits with "ERROR: Insufficient disk space" although you have enough disk space. It's caused by old DOS file/disk sizes handling. Max Feil made new patched version of SmartVid which doesn't do any disk space check (SmartVmx.exe). So now you can convert files of any sizes you want! But be careful if you do the conversion and you don't have enough disk space for converted file SmartVid may crash or produce some system message or something unexpected. (This warning is including using of SmartV2k.exe on another disk than C.)

I determined my application SmartVidGUI to be freeware.
For SmartVid I'm not sure about its status. It's about 10 years old utility from Intel corp. I heard that's freeware on some internet forum, but I can't find any official web pages. It seems they are no longer exist. So I hope its status can be freeware. Otherwise my application is nonsense. If you know something about this, please tell me.
