About the crochet hat, I'm wondering if one should work it in the round or make a diamond piece for the top of the crown then build sides for the crow then the brim and sew the pieces together.
I think I will start on the crochet bracers first. I'll probably do them in double crochet to help firm up the fabric since the yarns I'll be working in is quite fine. (thread weight) I will start from the top and work down to the wrist, decreasing as I go. I haven't entirely decided on whether or not I'm working in the round or not. I guess it depends on how loosely I crochet and how stretchy the silk/cotton and silk/wool yarns are.
Crochet Hat - shades of medium brown (which is like cinnamon), edges of brim has bands of darker brown.Acolyte's Shoes - ankle tops have bands of dark brown, rest of shoe is medium-light brown.Chest Piece Armbands - upper part is a deep green-gray-black with banding/variagated with black. Lower part is light olive with lower band of green-green. Use light gray yarn for the connecting bands between upper and lower parts. Looks as if there are also claws? attached at these points in the lower band.
