Model Helicopters come in all shapes and sizes The world of model helicopters can be a confusing place, so I decided to try and make things a little easier for those wanting to get into the hobby. There are many web sites that can give you a world of information,but most is very technical and certainly not what I wanted to read when I first took up the research hunt. Personally I wanted simple information ie:,What do I need to get started?What helicopter will suit me? Those sorts of questions. So i have got together with some friends from our club and put together a variety of helicopters to help the beginner. My husband Mal was the first one to persuade me to take up the hobby of model helicopter flying.After months of research he bought his Raptor 50. I decided that I would give it a try,I mean how hard can it be? I decided on a Raptor 30, mainly due to cost considerations. If you decide on a 30 sized helicopter then you can chose from : Century Hawk Sport,Hirobo Shuttle,Hirobo Sceadu 30 Evolution,JR Venture 30,Kyosho Caliber 30,Kyosho Nexus 30,Robbe Moskito & Raptor 30 V2. In the 50 size catagory you have : Century Falcon 46/50SE V2,Century Raven 50 CCPM,Robbe Ornith,Hirobo Sceadu 50 Evolution,JR Sylphide 50, JR Venture 50,JR Voyager 50 & Thunder Tiger Raptor 50 V2,both lists are not exhaustive.
