SLEDGE FILMS LTD

Independent Film Making Since 2003

NOVEMBER 13TH UPDATES

we are starting casting and pre-production of 'HELLBILLY 58'

I hope you enjoy it when its done. we are going to try and sell this movie to troma films. I'm a big troma fan and think they will like it.  At the moment I am working on the costume for the hellbilly. I have converted a halloween skull mask into the main headpiece for the monster. I have yet to make the hands (probably do that later today) and am using the old scarecrow outfit, wich is basically rags, for the hellbilly costume. We have an actress named stacie who has asked to appear in it, so schedule permitting, she will star. aslong with Dan Bennett, yes thats right, Dan returns! aswell as Stef Richfield as the lead, Dave Diaper as the nasty mayor, Myself as the Deputy and a few others. wait and see! If you live near hampshire, UK and can act, let me know if your interested in starring

NEXT UPDATE;

Well the good news is Lloyd Kaufman has agreed to appear in the movie! but were not sure if his schedule can permitt and when it can permitt since we cant pay for him, although I have emailed his team asking for a quote, so we'll see. so the good news is that he really likes the concept and has done nothing but support the movie. Theres a good chance it might make it to distrubution! Incase you dont know, Lloyd owns and runs troma films, the biggest Independent horror film company for 30 odd years. Immensly helpful for indie filmers like me. He hates hollywood and they work against the Hollywood system all the time, wich is great. One thing you gotto check out is their new movie, it looks AWSOME! check it at: http://www.poultrygeistmovie.com/ .  Looks to be one of the best horror comedies since the toxic avenger! we'll see, I sure cant wait. but anyway yes, the hellbilly hands and mask are coming along well and we have a few actors cast for the film. Confirmed cast is yet to be posted but will be soon.
One GREAT thing is that Matt Armor, the Lead singer of the rockabilly heroes 'Blazing Haley' has not only agreed to let me use his song, he also acts and is gonna be in the movie! I mean thats quite a nice thing to do, flying in from the USA to appear in a movie he wont get paid to do! cant say enough good things about this guy. It was his song that inspired the entire movie! Let me tell you the story. I was on my way back from Wales, Visiting Leah and filming for 'Halloween Samhain' when I listened hard to the lyrics to the great Blazing Haley song 'hellbilly58' and thought 'wow wouldnt that make a great movie!' and here we are. I had high hopes for pitching this movie to troma for release as its a real troma style film. then I read about how Lloyd appears in films, so I thought I will email the genius behind 'Terror Firmer' and see if he wanted to act in it. his responce was this:  ''

Dear Russ:
"Hellbilly 58:The True Story of Princess Di"sounds excellent. Thanks for considering moi.
Count me in.
Also please spread the bird ...er...word about my soon to be released film POULTRYGEIST.We need publicity. Please see www.poultrygeistmovie.com''  What a LEGEND! so I'm really exited about this film. the fun part is going all out with gore, cant wait to get into it!, anyway more later, gotto get back to booking actors and stuff, keep it cool! and remember if you wanna be in this thing (Hampshire, UK) messege me!

NEXT UPDATE:

I seem to have started enjoying scriptwriting more these days, I really hated it before! I find listening to Blazing Haley really helps, this sounds odd, but when I listen to them, I really feel like I'm working on Hellbilly58, well...I am, but its hard to describe. There songs really suit the whole mood of this movie and I feel really into it when there playing. I read that Bill Moseley lost any anxiety when he saw Jim Siedow on the set of TCM2, and someone on one of the halloweens said that once they saw Donald Pleasence, they really felt like they where making a halloween movie, and not something lesser. thats how I feel! I've been listening to it sooo much lately. I really love it, and am dead exited about having the singer, Matt Armor, starring in the movie. Well at the moment im scripting scenes, so I will get back to you. thats my thoughts for now!

It should be great, confirmed stories include THE SCARECROW, KILLER IN THE HOUSE and possible THE GIRL ON THE BRIDGE. Browse the site, sign our book! show some sledgey love!

11th April 2006

Quick update, GOTHIC PUNISHMENT is having its final scenes filmed so look
out for a late april/early May release date! Unfortunately the Punisher V Predator
project has been postponed until we can sort the costume, BUT keep an eye out for
a razor sharp slasher called CHALK HILL that is going to change the way we look
at quiet piecful roads and create a controversial piece of cinema greatness.
This is going to be a new slasher, thats just starting pre production, I'm doubling
for the maniac, Stef is playing a cowyboy vigilante, Dave will be in the mix somewhere,
I'm gonna try and get my buddy Matt and possibly Evan and Sune in it too.
Keep an eye out, I got good feelings about this one!
More later!

13th January 2006

Hey all! hope everyone had a very happy new year.
Sorry I havent posted in a while but I do have some
cool news. The next film I will be working on
Will be a very unique one, the first meeting of
The Punisher and Count Dracula!
Yes, thats what I said.
Dark punishment is just wrapping up now
and thats been great fun and is looking great!
Lets hope this new one lives up to expectations.
Now i know we said we were doing Punisher vs Jason,
but its only been a year since Jason graced sledge film's
Screen, so he can wait a bit longer. I have wanted to do
a vampire film all my life and its gonna be so good!
My teeth (fangs) are in the post, so its now time
to prepp everything ready for a hefty shoot!
Stef will be playing frank castle again for sure,
so heres to it!.

27th November 2005
We are heavily into the filming of BATMAN: DARK PUNISHMENT and its coming along really well,
we have had the first appearence from the joker, a gunfight aswell as the final punch up between Batman
and Frank catcle. Exiting!!!!!.
The soundtrack is pretty cool and we have filmed a sequence with Frank Castle and Bruce Wayne descussing batman,
so its all shaping nicely.
On another note, I hope you like the new sledge site layout.

10th November 2005
The new movie 'Batman:Dark Punishment' is coming along nicely but I cant say for sure when it will be released.
We got Stef as Punisher and me as Batman, Dad as the Joker and everyone is chipping in doing thugs and all that.
The origanal idea was to have Stef as the Mad Hatter. Then he said we should encorperate Punisher into it,so we
basically decided to have Batman and punisher in one movie. and Stef was more into Playing Frank than Hatter, so
it just grew from there. We have shot about 3 scenes. so its all coming along, keep an eye on its page for info.

24th October 2005

The new chiller 'Spirits of the fall' has been completed at last and is avaiable for veiwing.

and email me if you wanna get hold of anything. MORE SOON!

4th August 2005
Well were nealry finished on 'someone's watching'. big news, Dan is giving the acting a break to work on his
music career so this is the last performance for a while so good luck to him in the world of music, but dont think
this is a bad thing or anything to do with us not making films anymore because thats not what its about.
The main reason being that we dont have enough sources to make fantastic films and we seem to run over
the same ground alot. well we will be still doing things but not as simalar to what you have seen in the past.
Expect some more films from me and Matt in the vein of Ernest and stuff like that, so look out! more later...

14th July 2005
Well were still kicking, I've got alot of shit to sort out at the momet so we havent filmed for a while but were gonna be
filming more next week. starting on the EWW Dir. Cut soon and hopefully doing a CD of all our songs we have used
so its all good. Keep a good look out for various web site updates in diffrent sections, I will try and post on the main
page...but its not that easy.....im a busy guy you see! more later ok!

2nd July 2005
The news as follows: EWW Mortal Violence has been scrapped as it makes more sense just to do an extended, directors cut of HARDCORE PASSION. so look out for that in the future. Things have been hectic here so we havend done alot of work on the new movie in a while, but its still going really well with what we have so far, so its not far from completion.
EWW has returned so look out for matched and cards in the future, dont miss 'FEEL THE PAIN' coming live on sunday the 3rd (tomorow). Keep a good look out, I'm starting to work on Ideas for Friday the 13th: Evil Never Dies. Its all good.

19 June 2005
Thanks for all the great guestbook entries (exept the dani man's :oD) and to everyone who makes our work worth while. We are still working hard on 'someone's
watching' so keep an eye out. there is a smally gallery added on the page and it shows a few snaps of whats to be expected for this one. We are already nearly half way through and dan's acting is flawless as allways as he plays a vigalante doctor after his insane patient. I cant wait til its done and am very exited about this one. I've ended up playing more roles in this movie than alot of the others so expect a few cameos.
In other news, DVDs of 'the importance ect' and 'decomposing psyche' are underway and not to forget that EWW may be making a come back. dont forget the movie 'EWW : Mortal Violence' has been announced....so who knows. pop over to
http://www.freewebs.com/ewwwrestling for the lowdown on events, matches, pics and much more.

Just a little reminder that the nightmares inc site exists and the guestbook and hits are rather dusty..........

23rd May 2005
The internet has been down so I have been lazy I know, sorry about that. I'm back now though and news is to come.
We are starting a new horror (more details soon) so that should be good. The thriller has been scrapped and the directors cut of 'Halloween party' has been completed, keep an eye out on this site for sound clips and galleries.

28th April 2005
The thriller is set for more filming next wednesday, and a short film exploring fears and deep thoughts will be released soon. This is a small, experimental film I decided to have a stab at on my own, I'll get some creenshots up soon so you can take a look. as far as release goes, I have no idea what this is gonna be like, probably will end up on a dvd somewhere. Might show it before another movie or something, were hopefully onna be planning a sledge films marathon soon. so look out for that. We are still working on the dvd of 'IBE' hopefully with commentary and a 'making-of'. might get a photogallery and some advertisments aswell.

I'm thinking about a director's cut of 'halloween party' to hopefully be coming soon. Not sure how long that will take though so keep looking. Keep your eyes on the screening room aswell, soon to be renamed 'media something' and will have sound clips from the films too.

21st April 2005
The thriller were making is going very well, we shot the first scene yesterday at college, we had Dan as Eric Freemantle, the widower cop and Matt Broughton as commisioner Daniel Ray. it went pretty well, took a while getting the lines, but as usual both of the guys acting was flawless. I'm looking forward to seeing the final project so hopefully we will be filming more within the next few weeks. were hoping to get it finished by mid May. Fingers crossed. Big shout out to Dan and Matt for there delivery, allways a pleasure to watch.

16th April 2005
MACABRE 3 has been put on hold because we are starting prodution of a new 2 part TV crime thriller, it dosent have a name yet, but we will have details on that very soon.

12th April 2005
Me and Dan are in talks of a possible 4-6 episode TV show, about 2 stupid house mates who are allways getting into trouble and getting hurt. We like slapstick, but at the mo this is just a thought in the air. Macabre 3 is well underway, we are shooting more at Dan's house tomorow. Keep In touch!

NOTE FROM THE WEBMASTER:  The Post from March 24th are now Untrue....is it sinking in yet?

06th April 2005

Fresh Meat: Macabre 2 has been re-released, only this time its the Unrated directors cut, re-edited and remastered.
Straight from the same workspace as macabre: The unrated producers cut. Why are we re-releasing these classics? good question, maybe its to get people ready for something new...maybe a 3rd installment.
We are indeed filming a new movie......and filming is going well, we shall keep you posted, But yes it has Dan's flawless acting and vomiting, aswell as his boyish charms and good looks.....and it features the acting Debut of Jay Taylor.....who is this man? you ask, well keep watching and you will find out. For a first timer, he did a pretty good job. More to come soon.

31st March 2005
Macabre: the unrated, uncut Producer's cut has been completed, and is set for limeted release and re-release.
the new version is just a rehash of the classic, removing any little mistakes, with a new soundtrack.
In other news, were currently working on the dvd for bloodline. Packed with extras we hope.

24 March 2005
There are rumous floating around that we are starting pre-production for Macabre 3, this I'm afraid is not true. We talked about it indeed, and we started planning it out, and at one point even agreed to make it after Bloodline, but....im afraid this is not going to happen just yet, yes it will happen no doubt about it, but it needs more time. go to the this page: http://www.freewebs.com/sledgefilmsltd/macabre3.htm to clear up any rumours you are unsure about.

The script for the Killer movie is coming along well, and looking at it now, its going to be very gory and violent, thats the way we like it. The friday the 13th movies, aswell as the official ones and the way we make them, are popcorn films, made to keep lovers close, and to provide action, chills and exitement, or if your a big fan of Mr Voorhees like me, to keep you happy with your dose of jason!. Jason is a pop culture icon, he dosent exactly scare much these days, but he is still powerful and shocking in his means of entertainment. he can still be scary, and even though I know the charector and all that, looking at that hockeymask when I'm in full costume, its not nice to look at. This serial killer film is not going to be a  popcorn film. Its aimed to make people think, and shock and disturb people, much like Macabre was intended. we did a good job, so hopefully we can meet the status that macabre met on this film, by taking the raw qualities from Shelly's shed, and onto serial killer Peter Herman's (names in progress) stomping ground. Suberbia.

22 March 2005
Well at last the bloodline film is completed and should be premiering on the 26th of march. so ignore the trailer, the evil is coming march!!!!. the film looks very good and the climactic ending was shot all day sunday and edited all sunday night. about 15 hours non stop in total. It has a nice feel to it and i've finished the final render and it lookes really good, nice and polished, with some great action, suspence, horror and gore, combined with a great score, its gonna be good. Dan's acting is top notch as usual, with the generic vomiting and handy stick work, I hope this film will be popular.

In other news, I have started writing a script for a new psychological horror, following the life of a brutal serial killer, diffrent from Friday 13th, you kind of follow the killers life, but not fly on the wall. Its planned in the vein of a bunch of really good serial killer films that were released in the last few years, a few of my faves: Ted Bundy, Ed Gein, Gacy and Dahmer. I'm not sure if I spelled the latter correctly, but hey. So I will keep you updated on that one. So hopefully, while bloodline does its rounds, we can start work on this one. This film will be alot lighter in filming, its not going to be the action/horror that bloodline is, this will work more on psyche and insanity, making it more disturbing and hard to watch, rather than the sort of film where you would cheer at Jason offing some teens. But we love that too.

17 March 2005
The site has been updated once again with added pics to the gallery, more posters to the vault, and full story/behind the scenes/cast details on all of our films. Hope your enjoying the new look, please sign the guestbook!
Sledge films are working hard to finish our 'bloodline' movie, so expect an april release, its looking great so far.

14 March 2005
Big big changes have arrived!, the site has been updated, with added pages. too much to list so just browse. lots of gubbins on here that you will like I'm sure. The bloodline movie is nearly completed, with only onse scene to go, its looking very nice indeed. Matt has agreed to play a dead body, the dead body of Jack.  The movie has a great look to it, and with all the elements, such as the music, the costume and the props, it really looks like your watching a friday the 13th movie. A sequel has been announced, and we know this one is gonna be good, so we can assure you that a sequel 'evil never dies' (working title) will be in the making.

3rd March 2005

The site has been updated with a downloads section, aswell as info on how to obtain copies of our movies if you wish to. Go to the 'Films/Downloads' section of the site, We hope your enjoying everything we are bringing, the trailer for 'EWW Hardcore passion' will be up soon aswell, so Keep an eye out, Cheers.

2nd March 2005
The Trailer for Bloodline is finnally up on the web! download it
on the filmography page.

28th Febuary 2005
we've been filming for 7 hours and I've been editing for 3 hours flat, we had to choriagraph a stick fight as I had to beaten black and Blue as Jason Voorhees!, Dan showed off some cool martial arts skills aswell, so the movies looking great so far. Should be finished roughly around middle March, expect it making its premier around that time. I cant wait til its finished, its the biggest film we have made, and its great to be a part of it, check out the link on my last post for pics too
